Thank you YELP, for not letting me down. This place was really good. Really great homemade chips and salsa. Great service and great Nachos. Didn't try the burgers, but will next time. This place is a hidden gem! Located on the corner of Chino Hills Parkway and Grand in the Stater Bros shopping center. Great prices! Everything is homemade . I would've given five stars if the had COKE products, but they have Pepsi. I always take one away if you have Pepsi. Highly, highly recommend. The owner is present and very customer service driven with pride for quality of food. The carne asada is incredible, with a choice of Ribeye. The Carnitas are the best!

This my favorite place for chili relleno. Fresh , tasty and cheap! I want to try other stuff on the menu next but whenever I go there, I have to have chili relleno!

Was just there today. It was slow we were the only customers. Burger was small and expensive. Chips were not fresh. Carne asada fries were greasy and had toothpaste like guacamole. Expected at least fresh guacamole from a Mexican restaurant. Cost us 17.50 for a burger which was small, bottled water, drink and greasy carne aside fries that really didn't have much flavor. My husband said the burger was good he would give it a B. We won't be back.

The wait was a bit longer than expected, but then again it's not fast food. The service was good and friendly. The quality of the food was excellent. You can actually taste the freshness in every bite. You can tell they really care about taste and quality. The pulled pork in the chimichanga I had was mouth watering. I Would definitely come back.

Had the Carnitas plate and it was moist but a bit bland. Needs to be thrown on the grill for cripsness. Coffee was good. Gonna try the burger or pastami next time.

I was in California visiting and "Oh Queso"was highly recommended by my family so I had to try it! Bittersweet because now I'm back in Houston and feel like going back already! The steak burrito is AMAzing especially! when I had them add fresh avocados! I mean what place uses Rib Eye for their steak burritos? Meat quality Rocks and the service was awesome! My Daughter had the Chicken quesadilla and said, "it was the best quesadilla I've ever had!" Very friendly and cozy atmosphere.

Not as great as the reviews made it out to be :(

This place is a true hidden gem, located in Chino Hills. I read the reviews previously and was amazed most people yelped about the cheeseburgers. What, cheeseburgers at Mexican restaurant? Well, I had the green chile cheeseburger and admit its probably the best cheeseburger I've eaten, and that includes in n out and five guys. The menudo and carne asada fries are outstanding too. I'll definitely come here again, but next to try a burrito and ofcourse, grab another green chile cheese burger.

  • Gloria S.

This place is awesome. I know they are famous for their burgers, but their chile relleno burrito is the BEST!!! I've also tried their chile burger and even though it was good, I think it's a little overrated. Also, the price is just right, and they sell beer!

  • Xavier L.

This place was good. The fries were the best thing. Loved that they were willing to customize my green chili burger to a chicken one. I just wish they would recycle all their glass bottles. Oh and their chips were a bit over cooked. Overall my family and I will be back.

Search: burgers - Chino Hills ----------result, Oh Queso. Huh?! A Mexican restaurant has the best burgers in Chino Hills? As I drove up to the Stater Bros. shopping center I was immediately unimpressed. It's as generic as place as you will find in Chino----opps, excuse me, Chino Hills. (the folks there get so pissed when you forget the Hills) Well, as the rule says, looks are deceiving in this case. Forget the architecture, these folks can really make a great burger. Brioche buns are used, 80/20 ground beef that is course ground, they cook to order and they know what medium rare is, thick slice of cheese, crisp bacon, fresh tomato and greens. All & all a damn good burger. Will be back for more. Oh yeah, great tortilla chips.

Came in because of the high reviews. Comfortable environment, the game was on the tv's, delicious food. Couldn't have asked for more. Friendly staff served my carne asada fries. Not as greasy as your typical Mexican taco place. Overall great experience.

Great burgers, chicken sandwich, and tuna melt!!! Carne asada fries and quesadilla great! Update: I have dined here over 70 times and have yet to be disappointed !!!

I dont just throw out 5 stars. A business has really gotta stand out to get 5 stars, with that being said, this place has the best burgers in town hands down. I've done them all and after seeing this place on Yelp with the tasty looking photos, I had to do it. The burger was expertly prepared on a brioche bun and served piping hot with perfectly salted, crispy yet tender french fries. We were the only people there though. It would be interesting to see how the food comes out with more patrons there. Anyway, if u live in the area and like a damn good burger, you owe it to yourself to grab one. It blows everything else in town completely out of the water. This coming from one of the pickiest people on the planet when it comes to my food. ***** I've only had the burger and cannot speak for the mexican food. But judging by the comments about it, I may pass on that.*****

  • Nash R.

Good but not great. Highly recommend the carne asada fries and a fried egg with your burger. Their fries aren't that great, however. They tend to be overly greasy. Also, the churros are pre-made, not fresh unfortunately. Either way, still a great burger place!

First time here! we had green chile burger and the bacon Cheesburger both are good and the girl behind the register kept checking on us, Good customer service! These people are trying to compete with my great burgers....NICE!

I live right down the street and have seen so many restaurants come and go in this location... Why should this place be any different? A foodie friend convinced me they had the best burgers so I Yelped them. Everyone is raving about their burgers. OK, I'll give it a try! Ordered the green chile burger with a fried egg on top. The burger was really juicy and the green chile was pretty good! The fries were also really tasty. Don't let me pass over the juiciness of the burger so quickly. So many places have dry burgers. This burger melts in your mouth! You gotta try it!

Im a burger nut. I love me a good burger. Came here solely on the reviews of them. Id seen this place before but never paid it no mind. Sometimes a burger craving will not be satisfied even with a trip to In n Out ( INO rocks btw), we just didnt feel like INO this day. This burger was yum, yum, yum. Everything about the burger tasted fresh - the produce, the beef, and oh yes the bread, the bread, the bread. The bread they use just pushes their burger over the top. Their menu had several items, but since I came tunnel visioned for a burger, I do not recall what else was on it. Judging by the full house and smiles that came with them, I think everyone there felt the same way I did - full and happy. Will definitely be back.

How do I say this with out been rude, well let me say that I came here because my lovely husband said it was so great that I had to try it, so I finally was in the area and I did. This place is good don't get me wrong, but it's not nothing to die for. I had the carne asada fries and they were good but I have had better, then he told me to also try a chile verde burrito and it was ok to but not that great it was kind of plain. Over all this place is good but I think my expectations were to high when I got here and that's my husband fault.lol But I can say I wouldn't go back just because to me is just average food and that's all.... But don't let that stop you from trying it:)

Love this place! The owners are very nice and have made a small little place a great place for a burger (or burrito)! I prefer to eat at places that are independently owned and this is a good one to try out if you are of the same mentality. Here is my Bullet-Review... - Cleanliness: Great! - Food quality: Good on some and Excellent on others (meaning the burgers on the latter). - Parking: Plenty - Service: Good - Friendliness: Always good and occasionally excellent. - Fanciness level: Very casual. - Stand out item: Best fries in town, in my opinion. - Decor / ambiance: So so. This is the area I think they could really use a direction and brand their restaurant to make it unique and fun. - Discounts: They have had a Yelp! Check-in discount running for some time. - Prices: Very good value! - Overall: Great place that needs some love so please go and try them out at least once! On that note, I think I'll go there now for lunch! Nuff said, Ray ***My two cents*** I find that most reviews you read on Yelp are based on a single experience and one really does have to read these with a little caution and a grain of salt before deciding on taking one bad review to heart. If you see five 4-5 ratings and one 1-star then take the time to really read that single bad review to determine if it is truly a valid point.

This place was different from what I expected and in a wonderful way! It is quite trendy, using iPads to order, and the girl that was there was super friendly and sweet. She was helpful with our questions since it was our first time and we decided to order Carne Asada Fries, Oh Queso Burger, House salad with chicken, and some chips. The carne asada fries reminded us of Albertos, though it's size was a bit smaller it was still a pretty big portion, and it the taste was up to par minus the grease! The salad was plain with the italian dressing (what can you really expect out of a salad anyways?) but adding chicken (for an extra $2) made it so worth it! Their meat is so good, tender and tastey! But they could have added more onions to it (my boyfriend said they were being considerate, knowing I was with him and didn't want my breath to smell, har har). My cousin and my brother were qute pleased with their burgers. I will be back to try more of their things!!

Tasty free chips and salsa. $5 special tonight was chili relleno burrito. My friend said it was too greasy. Another friend had carne asada tacos she said were really good. I had the green chili cheese burger...it was green SALSA not chilis and the cheese was about a teaspoon of shredded jack - odd. It tasted OK, that's all. It needed to be loaded up like a normal burger with lettuce and tomato. I would give 2 stars, but free chips and salsa and they serve Pepsi, so they get 3 stars from me.

  • David A.

This place is actually a Mexican restaurant where the burgers are unbelievable, particularly the green chili cheese burger with a fried eggs on top. Its not very close to the freeway but definitely worth the effort everything looks incredible the burritos the tacos and of course the burgers. Try it all, the place is clean and you can see entire kitchen from the regester. Awesomeness!

MMMM!! Oh queso you so delicioso! I came here for lunch today and I will officially be a full-time regular at this spot. The tender, juicy and flavorful rib eye steak burrito is a must try and I am definitely looking forward to indulging everything they have to offer. The staff was very friendly as well and the prices are reasonable for a guy that's on a tight budget. Thank you for making my day Oh Queso and I shall see you very soon!

So I went in on taco Tuesday for 1.25 tacos. I ordered a potato, chicken, and ground beef tacos. Potato taco was pretty good, chicken was ehh, and the ground beef just wasn't good at all. The prices are good here and I might come back to try the burgers cuz it seems as those are most of the good reviews on yelp.

I have survived 62 years eating cheeseburgers. Not every meal, just the good ones. Fast food burgers are mediocre at best. Chains (Chili's, Hof's Hut, etc.)burgers are a little better. Today I have a GREAT burger. The Oh Queso burger. The bun was perfect (never had one like that), the burger was cooked perfectly, just the right amount of condiments. The French fries were fresh and crisp. Service was perfect. When you price a great burger right, have the cook prepare it right and have a friendly cashier deliver it to you just right.... well, that makes for a great experience. I will be back. I will tell my friends. For those of you who have stated it is a good burger not a great burger, you are sadly mistaken. The burger I had was a great burger. THANK YOU!!!!

  • K. M.

Hilarious! You want me to try a burger at a Mexican restaurant? Been there twice for burgers. I really like the buns, soft and pillowy. The first time, my burger was a bit pink in the middle, so I ate around it. Second visit, I asked them to cook the burger well. The patty seems to be good quality meat so its a good value for handmade burger, onion rings and drink. My dad had the fideo soup, and the soup portion was huge for $3.. Onion rings were a bit overcooked, but since it was a free substitution for fries, I can't complain. It's seems like a family business, so you have to be specific about your order since its not a prescribed chain burger.

Very good food. I had the carne asada burrito and my friend had the chile relleno burrito. Both were delicious. Good food friendly service. Will go back.

Had to check this place out, 1st off all of my food was made to order, fries are amazing, perfectly crisp and salty. I ordered the green chili burger which was different, never thought of green chili's on a burger before. It was good, and service was quick.

  • Chris B.

GREAT BURGERS!!! Plain and simple. Ordered the green chile burger and omg... Patty was juicy, bread was perfectly toasted, had the perfect amount of chile and cheese. I couldnt get enough! And dont even get me started with the asada fries. Fries were perfectly fried, not soggy or too hard. And the meat was cooked perfectly. Its a shame it was soo quiet when I got there with my lil fam. SUPPORT THIS PLACE!!! Some of the best food you can get for the price.

Green Chili Burger = YUM! Carne Asada Fries = Eh not bad, they give you chunks of meat but kinda dry but overall not too bad. Chimichanga = pretty huge, but for $10 not really too flavorful. High recommend the Green Chili Burger with a fried egg on top! Oh and they give you free chips ^_^V

Found out about this place through Yelp here. Really wanted to try a juicy burger, not fast food ones and not even In-N-out.. just a good burger. This place is hiding in a Stater Bros Plaza, so you would never find it if you didn't read reviewers tips here. I went on a Wednesday afternoon, 2 ish and there was no one in the restaurant, not a good sign. My carving for the burgers over powered my will to just leave, so i went in and was greeted by the cashier promptly. Decided to get the Bacon cheeseburger with fries combo. If you check in on yelp, you also receive 10 % off. Score! Since I was the only one in the restaurant, in the beginning it was quite awkward and quiet, but the girl asked me if i wanted chips while I wait. When she brought it over, it was more than i can eat, but i was glad she attended to me and didn't make me feel weird. When the girl brought the burger over, i was shocked at the size. It was bigger than my fist clenched up. Thats when you know it's going to be good. i take a bite, and it is everything reviewers said it would be, the bun they use is different than most places. Not sesame, but potato maybe? The meat is tender ans soft, the bacon was a dream. The fries were regular steak fries, not too big but regular sized. By the time i finished, I was very much satisfied. :) Their menu consist of Mexican American dishes, so you can get anything from tacos to burger and fries. They also have a self serve salad bar with really good salsa. Will definitely be coming back!

My boyfriend heard about this place from a neighbor. It is awesome! Everything I have ahad here is yummy. The carne asada is so tender and honestly the best i've had besides from my hometown. Their fries are so crisp I get them everytime no matter what I order. The staff here really try to make you as comfortable as possible, the owners are here alot making sure everything is good and the customers are enjoying their food. They have a fresh salsa bar and 10% off if you check in!

Oh Queso, what has become of you??? This use to be our go to place for a quick mexican dinner since it is so close to our house, but oh how things have changed lately (and not for the better). Just to give some background, we usually eat here weekly and have had pretty much all the mexican food on the menu. The food is starting to get really bad here and has been in steady decline lately. As an example, the taco salads use to be huge with fresh guacamole, lots of lettuce, hot meat etc etc. The last one we got was just plain sad! It was only five inches in diameter, had FAKE guacamole, barely any lettuce and cold dried out chicken on it. I remember the good old days of getting taco salads so large they would not fit in the to-go container. My burritos have been getting smaller and smaller and the meat has been getting crummier also which is a bummer. :( So sad to see this place slip, but I guess that what happens when the owners (adults) stop working there and let a bunch of 16 year olds run the show... Owners need to get their business back in shape ASAP!

Amazing place. My friend wanted to eat here because he said that this place was really good. So I followed him to this place and was very impressed. They are famous for their burgers but I got a California burrito instead which was still amazing. They also give free tortilla chips which were the best tortilla chips that I have ever eaten. Crunchy and not too salty.

Tried this place for the first time tonight and it was so good! I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and it was fantastic. The beef was thick and juicy and the bun was super soft. It was greasy and messy but so satisfying. I will definitely be going back soon!

This place is a small place in a small plaza in Chino Hills. Their food is well made and for the price you pay is extremely low for a HUGE portion. I ordered the Carne Asada Burrito thinking that it would be all beans and low meat, HOWEVER i was sooo wrong. When the very kind waitress brought me my food i took my first bite and the WHOLE burrito was full of carne asada. My friend and i split the Carne Asada fries and it was so good. Very polite staff and very very clean. Huge portions, low price, clean, extremely tasty. It fits everything in my bill so why not? Give this place a shot!

  • Brigette W.

I ordered the green chili burger and a side of fries. Me and a couple of friends walked in on a Thursday night around 8ish and the place was so empty, WHYYY?? I dont understand?! The prices are really good for the quality of the burger you get (way better than the habit) and plus there arent burgers like this around chino hills.. Maybe its the location?? ANYWAYS, their burgers are really good and their fries are pretty good too. Their buns are this yellowish color, which only mean one thing.....That they're really good!! The burger was bigger than your average burger and it wasnt as spicy as I expected. Everything that you order is made promptly right after you pay and just in case you guys were wondering its more of a you-order-at-the-cashier-and-they-serve-it-to-your-table type place. so the main topics of this essay isss: GOOD PRICES (except for that super expensive steak burrito *i must try it someday*) and GOOD BURGERS

Gf and I were looking to find different places to go out and eat because we usually just drive around Chino Hills and end up going to the same place. After looking on Yelp for different places to try, this was our first venture since she wanted some Mexican cuisine. The place is unassuming, located in the Stater Brothers shopping center near places like Rokuan and Thai Corner. I remember this place as another restaurant years ago (I think also Mexican). Inside is one LCD TV that was playing the Heat vs Thunder NBA game. The place was half full. The menu is of a good size offering items like burgers, burritos, nachos, fries, etc. We ordered a carna asada burrito and the chili verde burrito. I went to take a seat while my gf ordered our food. According to her, the cashier was polite and was helpful. The cooking space is wide open and allows the diners a clear view of the chef and other people inside of the food prep area. Within 5 minutes of me sitting down, one of the female waitresses came over with free chips. They were lightly salted and crisp. If they were made hours ago, you wouldn't be able to tell. It wasn't too long before we received our food. My burrito (the chili verde) was tasty but had more beans than i was comfortable with. Since it was our first time, my gf and I decided to trade burritos so that we have a taste. Her carne asada burrito was kinda off putting because of the lettuce greens in it. She agreed that my burrito was better than hers and did not want to trade back. Bottom Line: The food was okay but for the price ($12 which included the yelp 10% discount) for 2 burritos and 2 drinks it was a good deal. We both left satisfied in the hunger department but would not come back if the prices were higher. Next time we will probably try the burgers and nachos.

This place was amazing, I expected to be just a "whatever" kind of place, but I was super surprised at the food, it was great! It's unfortunate that they are kind of hidden though :/

Burgers r good n u can customize. Good tvs to watch games. People r super nice and the salsas r good. I like to eat here after golf on my way home. The horchata is bland for my taste but homemade. I like it sweet and cinammony(?). One of my favs in the chino area. Interestingly i havent really had the cheese yet or it hasnt stood out compared to the other items ;) Def repeat again and again Obtw they use ipads as their ordering device. Coolio

This place is great! Came here with a couple of friends and while we waited for another friend to come, one of the employee's gave us chips which I'm pretty sure is $1.25 on the menu but we weren't charged anything and we got a refill on it too! I ordered the beef taco which is only a buck on Taco Tuesday ($2.00 original price) and it was good not great. I also ordered the breakfast burrito with carne asada ($5.00) which was amazing! The meat was perfectly cooked and no one ingredient overpowered the burrito as they all blended in to perfection. I ended up eating half of my friend's carne asada fries ($5.50) which also was delicious! I saw the 4.5 stars on Yelp and was immediately excited to try this place. When I got there, it definitely wasn't what I expected, as it wasn't some authentic Mexican restaurant. It was definitely Americanized which made me second guess this place for a second but once I started eating, I had to give this place 5 stars. Excellent service, clean place, cheap and delicious food. Definitely coming back to try the burgers!

A friend and I decided to try this place out after reading reviews on Yelp. We arrived to the restaurant at about 12:30pm. We were the only people in the restaurant. That is not a good sign. It was probably because the place smelled like rotten garbage and shit. We wanted to walk out but we did not have enough time to get to another place to have lunch. The counter person looked like she would rather be somewhere else instead of helping us. I felt as if we were imposing on her time. We both ordered the Oh Queso burgers. They were okay. The meat was pretty good but the rest of the burger looked like a salad barfed all over it. It was messy and the smell of crap in the air made it hard to enjoy the taste. If you are looking for a good burger don't waste your time. Go to In-n-Out. You will get a much better burger for a better price and friendly service.

Just get the Oh Queso burger. Best burger I've ever eaten. It blows my mind. I'm craving it now. Free chips and salsa too. Service is good :) one of my favorite establishments. Kind of a hole in the wall place. I really want to see them succeed so please come here. They really deserve it. Good food, good prices. Remember, OH QUESO BURGER ;)

Oh Queso is a casual fast food restaurant with a bit of a different feel. I was impressed with how fresh the food was. I have had the Oh Queso burger twice and have been really happy with it. The buns are excellent and the burgers are good size. I also REALLY like the salsa bar that has the spicy carrots. I admit, I will give them a star for that alone. I also really liked how nice, modern, and clean the inside was. I was impressed that they had to large flat screen TV's hanging from the wall as well. On the down side, it can be quite a wait to get your food after ordering. I can live with that though given the freshness of the food. Still, overall, I enjoyed Oh Queso and would recommend their burgers if you are in the area.

Went here cause i read all the yelp reviews. Came really hungry and craving a burger and this places didnt disappoint. Got the Oh Queso burger and i added cheese and an egg. Was pretty damn good. Forgot what gf got but hers was good too. Also got the nachos eh, not my cup of tea as well as the shrimp taco.... im pretty biased since i used to live in mexico but this wasnt my thing either although the gf liked it. Pros- burgers are delicious, going to gorge on that ribeye burrito next time i go. Service is good and the people are nice, diggin the free chips and salsa they give you Cons- location... i would have never found this place if it wasnt for yelp. Nachos werent very good but ill give the other things on the menu a try when i go back =)

Came here for the raving pastrami burger and it ended up being pretty damn good! This is one of those sloppy well constructed burgers that you finish down to the last bite. The buns are delicious. My bill came close to $10 for a burger. Will come back to try the carne asada fries--

I love this place! The owners are super nice and the food is delicious! My family from northern California came down for my birthday weekend, and they wanted to eat before the long car ride back home on Sunday morning. I'm glad that my sister found this place on yelp. I ordered the Oh Queso burger and my boyfriend had the Green Chile Burger. We also got the carne asada fries. Yelp also has the 10% discount after checking in on the yelp app! My burger was so yummy! I loved the bun and all the cheesy goodness! Also, there was a crispy crust on my patty, and it was AMAZING! I can't speak for my boyfriend, but i'm sure he enjoyed his burger just as much. I did take a bite, but I liked my Oh Queso burger more. :) I also took a bite of the carnitas burrito and it tasted great. The carnitas was super tender and juicy! Loved that it! The fries in the carne asada fries are ok, but the carne asada was really tasty. The flavor and tenderness of the meat was really good. I just wish there was more meat! Anyway, before we left, they gave us complimentary churros since it was recently my birthday. That was so nice of them, especially since there was 10 of us! Plus, they were really yummy - with bavarian filling inside. Who doesn't love churros?! I will definitely be coming back and I will be bringing my friends over! I LOVE it that much!! I even craved their burger later that day! Great service, great food, nice location, and flatscreen tvs to watch while eating!

Bacon burger was juicy and delicious. Fries almost tasted like sweet potato fries but weren't. Everything about the burger was great (although a bit greasy). They have a few bottled beers (Bootleggers!!!!) and a big screen. I need to try their mexican dishes next since prices are reasonable and service was great. Free chips too

You must try their ground beef and potato crispy tacos. WOW, they are delicious! Too many Mexican restaurants try to serve cheap commercial tortilla chips, but Oh Queso has homemade chips and GREAT variety of salsas. I have nothing bad to say about this restaurant. The food, service, and price is stellar.

This place is awesome! I ordered the Oh Queso carne asada soft tacos and the fried taco. They are very generous with the meat! It was also delicious. My sons ordered the Oh Queso burger and the bacon cheeseburger. They both loved it. We also ordered "the jordan"... french fries with melted cheese and ribeye carne asada on top. It was the bomb! Foods are delicious! The prices are inexpensive. Very nice atmosphere with flat screen TVs while you eat. Owners and employees are super friendly!... My son says its an awesome place to bring a date... Also, try the menudo on weekends... As good as it gets!

This was one of those times that the pictures actually lived up to the expectation. The Green Chile burger was beyond amazing. So flavorful and cheesy. We added a fried egg to add some gooeyiness which of course made it all better. In addition, the fries I added as part of the combo completed my meal. Everything of course was made fresh to order. Staff was friendly and courteous also.

Look & Taste: 4/5. The name of the place is OhQuwso california Mexican cuisine. Tacos and burritos accounted for most of the menu. There're 5 burgers choices and a list of extras. I had a green chili cheese burger. The sign says meat is ground chuck and brisket cooked medium. But The meat was cooked well done. It had good charred texture and taste though. The meat was still moist so that was a good thing. The green chili has a mild kick and overall it was satisfying. Atmosphere: 3/5. Fast food neighborhood burger joint. Bench seating in middle of room that can seat up to 15. You can seat as a group or join other in community style. The bench seating are ripped, tapped up, and definitely need reupholstered. The main reason for 3 stars is the place looks a bit run down. There's a salsa bar and the newish hundred flavor soda machine at the side. Sport Playing on a 40" TV on the wall. Almost feel like a local pizza place. Service: 4/5. Fast food open counter cashier. Very friendly family style. Hugs, kisses, punches on the shoulder greeting between staffs and well known customers. If you don't feel welcome here then something is wrong with you. Expenses: 3/5. Average $7 per burger which is higher than the standard bearer of in-n-out. But the patty is 1/3lb and the buns are more flavorful. Return: 4/5. If I'm in the area I'll come back for the other burgers, tacos. And burritos.

Well first and foremost they have a salsa bar and I LOVE ME some salsa! They have a mild, verde, and extra spicy and I can handle spicy and this extra spicy made me SWEAT! Well wife got the chicken nachos and loved them and I got the Asada burrito and it was real good but felt a bit pricey for the size. People next to us got the burgers and they looked awesome and I will definitely be back to try those bad boys! They give you free chips and that's always a perk! Lastly my lil one left his favorite camo lanyard pacifier at the table, probably on the floor and the cashier guy (most likely manager or owner) must have heard us say we were going to walk to Stater Bros and came to the store and found us to give us back our sons pacifier! Class act, amazing customer service, and earned customers for life! We just moved to the area and are using Yelp to find great places and this place is a gem!

I have had this bookmarked for a while now.. Today I had the chance to try it out after going to the movies. It was hands down DELICIOUS!! I ordered a bacon cheeseburger ( lettuce, tomatoes, bacon, special sauce) I ADDED a fried egg & grilled onions with jalapeños!! I made it a combo --French fries & a drink. I can't say enough about the place the service was official & the food was incredible!! THANK YOUUUUUUU

Friendly service, clean facility. I like the two big tv's on the wall. I came in and asked what was good, because it was my first time. The cashier told me the gourmet burgers were the best. So i ordered the pastrami burger. Not what i expected, it did not have traditional pastrami taste. Dont get me wrong i did like it but the flavor wasnt what i expected/wanted. The burger patty saved the burger, wow it was delicious. Bread was good, but got mushy. I wish i got the western burger if i could go back, i tend to love those, but i wanted the best burger they made so i went for pastrami burger.

We were driving around and decided to stop and grab some dinner somewhere so I pulled up my trusty Yelp app to find a spot nearby. Oh, Queso came up and they had the best ratings of anywhere else nearby so we decided to give it a try. I had the bacon cheeseburger with a fried egg, my son had the kids grilled cheese, and my husband got some sort of shrimp burrito. My burger was AMAZING! I could barely hold it because it was massive and messy but it was cooked to perfection and had a wonderful taste. Love their fries too. My husband loved his burrito as well. He said that he really appreciated how much shrimp was in it and that it wasn't an overly heavy meal. I took a bite of my son's grilled cheese which was also delicious. Oh, and we ordered churros which I HIGHLY recommend. They are filled with Bavarian creme and the portion size is very generous for what you pay. We will definitely be returning next time we are in the area.

Rarely these days do I stop into a place to eat without checking with my fellow Yelpers! for their thoughts first. Fortunately for me, this time I did (some of the "Elite" Yelp reviews before me didn't rate this place highly...maybe Yelp! is turning into one of those "It's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know type of places?) I ordered the Green Chile Burger and added a fried up top (cuz' I LOVE eggs and hamburger combos a la "Loco Moco"). The burger patty had a nice "fresh pressed" taste to it and was cooked to be slightly crisp on the top and bottom (simply seasoned with salt and pepper). The bun was soft and airy but toasted on each inside to give the burger a bit more crunch. The green chile is great: mildly spicy and slightly tart (due to the tomatillos that are probably used to make it). Again, I added egg to it cuz I love eggs and it was cooked to perfection! As I went in for my first bite, the burger literally exploded yolk and green chile salsa all over my plate (lucky for me, the explosion occurred all over my french fries to create an eggy, chile, cheesy french fry mess....future additional menu item? Hmmmmm....) Now, I watched the cook pull out a bag of frozen fries and dump them into the fryer and I thought to myself "darn, promising burger, sad side of fries". You know what? THe fries didn't have the slightest hint of frozen to them and were so crisp and fresh tasting, I ate all of them (usually, I leave half behind cuz, you know, I'm on a "diet"). The service was super friendly and helpful. While I enjoyed my burger, a family came in and started ordering food off the menu when the cashier informed them they could save money buy ordering a large fries and sharing (I love when places help a person save some cash). Overall, the burger was as good and better than I've had a certain gastropubs. Closing my eyes, biting into that burger I could imagine myself sitting in a dimly lit place on some leather chair at a wood grain table, with a pint of beer ready to drink and some "hipster" music playing in the background. I've heard some "pastrami burger" bashing 'round these parts, so you know what I gotta try next time I stop in to judge for myself.

Check out the picture. Carne Asada fries were good and plenty! I tried the fried tacos too, the default is potato and ground beef. The carne asada is better than the beef/potato, which was a little bit of a let down. Ground beef and potato was a staple of my grandma's kitchen and I was really excited to see it on the menu. At any rate, this ended up being a tasty detour, we will definitely come back when we are in the area.

Once again. .. the food is good for folks in this area probably because there isn't that much variety like someone who lives in LA. Super hot inside with no AC. Only ceiling fans. It was so uncomfortable trying to enjoy anything. They offer fountain drinks and the tea dispenser ran out of tea and they didnt have any to refill. WTH. I was just in shock. food was just average. nothing was tasty or even came close to blowing my taste buds away. i was pretty disappointed at oh queso. it's so disappointing that i can't even recall what i ordered. :/ Tips: *shared parking with other businesses. *indoor seating only. *cash and credit cards accepted.

Came here in search of the next best taco Tuesday establishment. Eh, definitely have had better. I had ground beef and potato crispy taco and wife had shredded chicken. The chicken tacos didn't have much flavor. Chips tasted a little burnt. Wife said they didn't but I thought so. Some of the food looks absolutely awesome, maybe I'll come back for some pastrami fries or chili relleno burrito. Yummmmm. Customer service was good. Very friendly. Anyway, any place that stocks Bootleggers always has a * in my book. At least that was good today.

I was pretty excited to try this place because it's been on my radar for a long time. Got the pastrami burger. All-in-all, I'm not very impressed. The problem with the pastrami burger is somewhat uncommon: the problem of having too much stuff. The pastrami, burger, vegetables and sauce really offers no real coherent melding of flavors. It's like biting into a gigantic, confusing, monstrous... thing. It's edible, yeah, and the components are good, pastrami, meat, and veggies, but it's just to busy. That's my main complaint. The nachos are over priced. $5 for a small plate of nachos. On the plus side, the burgers are an awesome stereotypical unholdable burger. So these things are sider than your mouth (likely half the height of your head). The salsa bar is unlimited, although lacking in variety (mild, mild verde, hot, and jalapeno peppers). Honestly, not a bad dinner, but just not for me.

Now I can see how the green chile cheeseburger is the most popular here. You can also get it without cheese, but why would you at a place called Oh Queso. =) Good juicy patty with a green chile salsa as a spread. Was not spicy at all which was what my wife requested, but they said they can make it as spicy as desired, which I may venture to try next time. Personally I was expecting larger chile chunks which wouldve added a nice additional texture. You can also customize your burger, as I was given the option to add lettuce and tomato. I didn't check at what extra cost though. The bun was I think a brioche bun with a surprisingly sweet flavor and softer than expected, almost doughy consistency which helped contain the burger by absorbing some of its juices. A solid burger, and one of my wife's new favorites, but hard for me to justify paying $7. (My standard is In-N-Out's double-double for half that price.) The fries in the carne asada fries were the best texture I've ever tasted. Medium thickness, right in between thin truffle fries and thick steak fries, with the perfect outer crispiness and inner chewiness. However, only a meager sprinkle of chopped tomatoes; I would've liked more tang to offset the fat of the cheese, like in the chile burger. And something about the flavor of the carne asada itself was off, as if the meat wasn't well-cleaned before cooking? Also, while I believe there's a place for big chunks of beef, like in a pot-roast stew or bowl of ramen, or a skewer, i'm not sure a bed of fries is one of them. Re: the ambience, I liked the bench seating in the middle of the restaurant, reminded me of a pizza parlor. Lastly, the wait for my order was a little too long. But overall, I will most likely be back if I'm ever in the area again. Looks like there's a nice park with a big lake across the street to take my kids to play at while I eat my burger.

This place was chill. Made it out to the far side of chino hills to find this gem tucked away near the nicest stater bros I have ever seen. Nice open kitchen to watch all the magic happen. Ordered 2 kids quesadilla meals, which were a decent size with plenty of fries and soft drink for under $5. I went with the oh queso burger and had the fried egg on it. Cooked med rare, ground chuck meat. I could have used it a bit more cooked. I'm not a fan of ground chuck that is too rare but all of the flavors together were great: sauce, onions, cheese. I had to get the carne asada fries too. I didn't travel all this way to window shop. They were good. Too much food if you ask me. Shared them but couldn't and didn't want to finish them. I had close to 1500 calories, sorry I always bring that up. Wife had 3 tacos, shells are fried and covered in a tomato based sauce. They fountain sodas were not working so they gave out cans. I never realized how much soda I would drink until now. The cool thing is they serve beer in bottles, inexpensive as well. Service was good. Maybe we will try another time. Happy eating!

We had the burgers yup in a Mexican restaurant . I had the green chili add jalapeño and onions. Wife had a burger cheese only. Mine was slightly over cooked and the fries were just ok. They cook everything to order so it takes 12 to 15 min. But they let you know it ahead of time. But the flavor was on point very good burger. Wife's burger was good not great. I think the habit is slightly better But not by much

Oh My Queso!! So delicious. They have excellent carne asada fries where it's nice full chunks of beef. (Not necessarily the carne arranchera you're used to, but more like a slow cooked chuck steak--borderline falling into barbacoa). Their burgers are legit and they have complimentary chips and salsa. Go for the unique burgers.... They have 10% off with the yelp check in!

My husband picked up some carne asada fries for me. He did say that the customer service was crappy. When he got home I was excited to try them since I had been craving them all week lol. I have to say...I like them more than Albertos. The carne asada was perfect. Thumbs up on this yelp find.

Definitely a great place to grab a burger combo in town. The food there is sensational and most importantly, its freshness. The meat are cooked at its best quality and tenderness, seems like the cook knows exactly how long to cook it. Highly recommended to anyone nearby or visitors in town to stop by for a bite when craving for burgers.

I had tacos and something else I can't remember what it was, I'm sure it's my brain protecting me from thinking about the experience, service was good but the food, well, I can't say much that will be positive, it just didn't have any flavor at all, it tastes like something you send your little brother to prepare, everything you want it's there but it just doesn't taste right, actually it doesn't taste like anything at all. By other reviews it says to try the burgers, I'd be willing to try them next time.

First and last time here. I actually only came to this place because it was close to my dr - BIG MiSTAKE. The cons: - It was hotter inside the place then outside and it was 88 degrees outside - I felt like I was the one cooking the food that's how hot and stuffy it was in there. The slow moving ceiling fans (2) were NOT helpful - menu even says "we only make burgers medium" I asked for Medium just in case and got a burnt well done one. It didn't taste good, fresh or unique. Might as well have ordered a burger from in n out - kids meals are a joke. Smallest portion serving I've ever gotten for my son. Most of the fries and the taquitos (the whole 2 extra small ones) were burnt. He ate some fries that I picked out not so burnt with lots of ketchup - customer service...bleh I felt more chased down to ask how my meal was - most (if not all I didn't check) center tables had black tape to cover the seats. The tables weren't really "clean" and honestly I didn't feel like the salsa bar was sanitary The pros - I left without throwing up I honestly would recommend looking for another place. This didn't taste different, unique and wasn't clean or comfortable. Not worth even the $11 small amount I paid for lunch. I should have just done a drive thru...yea it was that bad

This review is based solely on our most recent experience at Oh Queso. When we arrived, the place was packed so we knew we would end up waiting for our food for awhile. After ordering, we sat down and waited and waited for our chips. We saw others receiving their chips before us. We ended up having to go up to the counter to ask for chips. Then we waited and waited for our meal. As we watched the workers behind the counter, it was clear they were totally flustered and lacked organization. There was a large party in front of us and they were served their meals almost one at a time. Some of that party was done with their meal before others even received theirs. One guy had to go up to the counter get get his. Almost everyone in his group was done eating before he got his dinner. We continued to wait and wait. Others that came in AFTER us were receiving their dinners while we just sat there. After 40 minutes we went to ask about our dinner and the owner assured us we were next. Well, we were not next and two groups of people that came in after us received their meal as we just sat there. Again, we went to the owner who seemed extremely uncaring explaining our situation. No, "I am sorry" " let me make this right" or anything. He just looked and basically said "it's coming." We finally received our dinner, of which was very tasty. The owner walked by us twice and NEVER approached us to apologize for the fact that we waited 50 minutes for our dinner while others received their dinner before ours. Terrible business manners. We come here all the time and this is the first time this has happened to us. We love the food and usually the service is fine. However, I expected more from the owner on this occasion. A simple "I am sorry" goes a long way.

Burgers are very tasty. Their buns are very buttery and melt in your mouth. The spread is in my opinion, tangier and better than In-n-out. The Carne Asada fries are enough for 2 people. With big chunks of meat.

Wanted to try something new and stumbled upon this place in my hunger hunt. Food: I ordered a chile burger with a fried egg, pastrami fries (shared it with my boyfriend) and a bacon cheeseburger for my boyfriend. The food tasted really good, was actually surprised.. I figured it was going to be mediocre. They make big portions for pastrami fries so I wouldn't eat that as a side (I made that rookie mistake but best believe I killed the rest of it later in the evening lol). Service: Customer service is great. When getting rung up the cashier accidentally swiped our card before taking our yelp check-in 10% discount but to make up for it gave us 2 free drinks which was more than awesome. They also served our meal to the table we were seated at, wasn't expecting that at all so I'm not sure if they actually do that on the regular since it was really slow. They notified us that they'll be in the back but to just holler if we needed anything but we didn't need to since they checked on us frequently. I would definitely go back and try something different... Or just get the same thing XD

After reading so many good reviews on Yelp, I HAD to check this place out for myself. As I walked in I was greated by the familiar scent of burger pattys and well, burritos. The guy, which I presume to be the owner attended me right away. I ordered the Green Chile Cheese Burger with fries and a fountain drink. The cashier even suggested I add grilled onions and jalaleños at no extra cost when I mentioned I like things spicy. The burger was delicious, and I ended up leaving a happy first timer. This place definitely gets a five for great customer service and great burgers. I even got a 10% discount when I checked in with yelp. I think it's safe to say I'll come back again sometime.

Bacon cheeseburger is so juicy, so yummm. We will be back!! They didn't serve a lot of fries but with the burger you get it was enough. They also give you a bowl of chips and salsa. The chips are quite good too. We've been there 2 times now and we know a 3rd is on its way. Again it's a small place, one cook, your food isn't coming fast if packed but when you get it! It's hot and juicy. Well worth the wait. But we haven't had to wait to long yet but we won't mind when we do.

Have you've ever heard the phrase a picture is worth 1000 words? I'm sure most of you have. This place just happens to fit into that category. Just browsing through the pictures, the carne asada fries and the burgers look fairly scrumptious which is what lured me into trying this place out. The reviews of this place is also a hit or miss, I read some people that it's the best and others not so much which is why it made me even more eager to try this place. Well after trying this place out, I can finally give my review of this place. This restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with a grocery store, gas station and other various shops. You should have no trouble finding parking here. Since most people were raving about the carne asada fries, that was a must order. I also got their "Oh Queso" burger that they are known for so I can sample the very best at what they had to offer. Here is my breakdown of the food: Carne Asada Fries - Very sad to say that these are mediocre at best and that is being very lenient. You've seen the pictures, sure they look pretty good but that is very deceiving. The fries are very crispy to the point where there is no potato texture at all. It is like eating crispy oil chips. If you've had carne asada fries ANYWHERE else you know that it is a huge mistake to have the fries done extra crispy. Now if that were the only fault to it that would be manageable but oh wait there's more! The most important aspect is the CARNE ASADA and it was a HUGE letdown! Why oh why do they choose humungous chunks of carne asada instead of having it chopped up into little pieces is beyond me. Also, there was NO seasoning to the meat at all! Eating it by itself would be a crime to all Mexican food!! The cheese was also all stuck together on a large chunk of fries and not dispersed properly. There was also only a handful scoop of sour cream, salsa and guacamole, hardly enough to cover the whole thing. Now I am no expert on carne asada fries but I've had enough to know that each forkful should have: carne asada, sour cream, salsa, guacamole and cheese, that is the perfect ratio. Oh Queso burger - Thankfully, the burger was decent. It tasted like how a burger should with all the proper ingredients. If you've had a burger at any other diner you are not missing out on much. The interior is nicely done with plenty of places to sit. Though there were not that many people dining in the first place. YELP TIP: If you ever decide to come here, don't forget to check in for 10% off your entire order. Overall, taking in the price and the food, this place is a 2 star. CC out!

The burgers are big and juicy just like the pictures portray. The staff is quick, efficient and helpful. Don't forget to ask for chips if you fancy some. It's free. I haven't had a juicy burger like this in a long time! Perfectly cooked! Price was reasonable, I've paid more at Red Robin but the experience here was much better. We also got an order of asada fries, the were whole fries and generous with all the toppings! I didn't have to fish around looking for cheese. Highly recommend this place. Good customer service as well.

I solely came here for the highly recommended carne asada fries. The chucks of asada are huge, the portions are generous. This was composed of: Sour cream, guacamole, pic de gallo, carne asada. They serve drinks here. If you dine in and order at the cashier, they still expect a tip due to the tip calculator you must approve as you pay on the Ipad. Nonetheless, this meal was worth every cent.

This place has one of the best burgers I've ever had here in So Cal. The pastrami burger with an over easy egg! It was just super delicious and the bread is great too. The people working there are really nice and they usually have some sort of sports game playing. You have to check this place out. Also they have bomb carne asada fries.

I traveled from LA to Chino Hills to try out this place. I had the Pastrami Burger and fries and they both were very very good. The service by Henry was EXCELLENT. We sampled the menudo it was very authentic and delicious. I will definitely be returning and recommending to friends and family.

This place is horrid !! No seasoning on ANYTHING! Who are they feeding... Sr. Citizens? This isn't Mexican food! The taco shells are rancid, there's nothing in the tacos and where's the the damn cheese. The asada fries.... All that is, is steak, fries, guacamole, tomatoes, sour cream and cheese ... Where's the onions? Salsa? Chili? What a waste of my Friday night!!

Everything on the menu is definitely worth trying. I live right next door so when it was their grand opening, I decided to give this place a shot. Their burgers are juicy, fries extra crispy, and the portions are great with a reasonable price. Everything from the "Oh Queso Burger" to "Bacon Cheesseburger" try it! The owner also recommended me to get the egg with the burger and it was a nice touch. When I don't feel like eating a burger, I go with the Carne Asada Fries... mmm. *Sometimes they leave out the guac, so make sure to request guac and sourcream, **The food is on the saltier side so make sure to drink a lot of water!**

Oh queso is a really good lunch/dinner spot. I really like there burritos and there carne asada fries. The fries alone are a meal itself. There burritos are huge and will fill the biggest appetite. I really like there lengua. Its soft and juicy and packed with alot flavor. The best part its cheap and has quick service.

I found this place through yelp as I was hungry looking for a new place to try out. Based on the reviews and photos I decided to give it a try. Food was good, I ordered the green chili burger with sautéed mushrooms, just wished it had a little bit more flavor; feels like something is missing. Green sauce is not spicy, it's more tangy if anything. Service was quick and great. The only bad thing about my experience was the wait time to get my food, possibly waited about 25 mins or so and it wasn't busy. Would I come back? Of course, food was good and it's conveniently located. Maybe next time I'll bring some seasoning with me to add.

It really pains me to write this review ... Since moving to Chino Hills a couple of years ago my family and I have really enjoyed this eatery. The Mexican side of things have taken a turn for the worse. The only menu items I can recommend are the cheese burgers and fries ... these are really good. The Mexican food items are no longer good. The pork and beef are seriously fatty and cold ... and this is not based on only one event. I keep reorder the shredded beef and chile verde in the hopes that it will be better, but it is not ... what a bummer :( it used to be soooo good. These meats are usually warm, at best, and omg fatty. Fatty and semi-warm are not a good combination. Please ... Please ... Please ... trim the fat off the meat before you stew them. Trimming the fat off the meat will make these meats taste so much better. We always order guacamole. If it's made to order, then great. But please don't serve me dark-ish guacamole. Add pectin or lime juice to keep it from becoming dark so soon. Yikes! I don't mean to be a KIA (know it all) but OK-SO used to be better. Bring the passion back please!

OH MY QUESO!! Known for their burgers but ended up getting a carne asada burrito and taquitos. Free salsa bar and guess I'll have to come back and sample the burger. Located in a desolate strip mall but once inside you feel that you've walked into a canteen. Large open area seating with the scents of spice and savory aroma to curb your appetite. Staff is extremely friendly and gracious for your patronage and I got the feeling that the passion they have for customer service is reflected in the preparation of the food.

I ordered the Green Chili Cheeseburger with jalapeños, grilled onions snd an egg on top. HEAVEN in my mouth! It was perfect! Delicious gourmet burger and inexpensive. Idk why I didn't try this place sooner. The carne asada fries have massivr chunks of mest instresd of shredded mest. Nom nom nom. Excellent customer service too! Definitely going back again for cheat day.

Right off the bat, service is SUB PAR at best. I Was in with the lunch crowd and thank GAWD the lunch crowd was small cuz if 2 more people would have shown up, they might have had to shut down for the day! Very slow. For the food, this place seems to boast about their carne asada, it was very bland for my taste. When I think of carne asada, I think marinated, citrus, spicy, full of flavor. This was not that. Very mild and plain. Nothing wrong with that I'll just assume that the normal customers enjoy it that way. I will give them credit for using a skirt steak rather than a cheap piece of meat most places won't use that quality meat. Overall I'm disappointed my first time around. I'll come back because I think they do deserve a second chance.

Was very hungry and found this place on yelp. The food looked good so me and three others came to try it out. We ordered 2 burgers, 1 order of carne asada fries, and 1 order of taquitos. I didn't try the burgers but apparently they were pretty good. Probably the best thing out of everything we ordered. I thought the taquitos were pretty good, but the carne asada fries was a bit disappointing. The cheese was stuck all together & the amount of guacamole was just..... sad. I can't think of another word to describe it lol. The 4 orders didn't fill us up because we were so hungry. We ended up just ordering another order of carne asada fries and an order of pastrami fries. Pastrami fries were okay, we thought the carne asada fries was better. So you can imagine how much more disappointing it was... They used like a thousand island sauce on it. I did love the crunchiness of the fries itself though. If i were craving regular fries and taquitos, I'd come back here since it's close by home. I wouldn't mind giving the burgers a try also.

This place has the best burgers hands down! Its very good quality meat!! All ingredients fresh and absolutely tastey. The burger is juicy and delish.. makes you want to come back for more. I would say way better then in and out or any restraunt in the area. If your in Chino Hills make sure you stop by.

In my experience restaurants that serve Mexican and American food are not very good, and Oh Queso supports my theory. I ordered the Chile Verde burrito and my boyfriend ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger. The Chile Verde burrito wasn't great. There was too much meat in the burrito and the quality didn't taste well. Also the sauce was inside the burrito instead of outside. The Bacon Cheeseburger was greasy and the fries were over-fried. All-in-all, not great.

Love the shrimp tacos they were AMAZING and my husband got the shredded beef tacos and they were equally good. A place we ll be coming back to, the fresh version of Mexican Food.

I brought my family here and unfortunately I wasn't as hungry as my kids and wife. I ended up splitting a burger with my son since he does eat much. The burger was raw in the center, we had to request another one ... For 2 burgers , a quesadilla and 4 drinks .. I paid 31 bucks! I much rather have eaten at Islands for that price... I won't be back there.

This place is the epitome of Mexicali. Don't expect south of the border food here, expect Mexican food + sour cream + guacamole + fries in your burrito. It's a clean establishment...think of Albertos, Alejandros, Alvaros (etc), but upgraded lol. * Loved the complimentary straight outta of the fryer tortilla chips. * Loved the carne asada fries...lotsa fresh guacamole, tender well-seasoned steak, and the fries stayed crispy til the end! * Loved the super fresh house salad (had to balance out those loaded fries) While I have lost interest in this type of food, I recognize quality when I taste it and Oh Questo definitely delivers quality and taste at a very affordable price!

Literally has the best burgers I've ever had. I always order the green chili burger and add the grilled onions and jalapeños. It's perfect every single time. The patties are amazing and you can tell they prepare the meat fresh. I've told friends about this place and they all agree that they prepare the best burgers they've ever had. Will be a long time customer of Oh Queso!

  • Jacky A.

Sooo delicious!!! I had the green chili burger and the owner suggested I add grilled onions and jalapeños to it...it rocked! The ground beef is melt in your mouth good and the fries are crispy. This will definitely be one of my go to places to get my burger fix!

I thought it was just ok....nice clean place with helpful staff but the food did not live up to the hype. Ordered a shrimp taco which had cheese on it, very strange. Also instead of the traditional crema they just put plain sour cream so it was really bland, but the shrimp was fresh & plump. We had one lengua taco, the green chili burger and carne asada fries. My hubby liked the lengua taco but the carne asada fries weren't as good as we hoped. There was hardly any cheese on it and the meat is cut into thick pieces that you have to be careful chewing it. The green chili burger was just a plain cheeseburger with some green chili put on, nothing too creative. The beer selection had the typical selections with just a couple craft beers thrown in. I think we both hoped for more out of this place.

Tried this place out for the first time on Monday and wow.......Best burger i have ever had!!! If you ever come here and read this I highly recommend the green chili burger with fried egg. I promise u won't regret it! Also the owner or manager (don't really know yet) was very helpful and polite. He helped me pick out the best burger for me and even checked up on me after I was done. The rest of the staff was very polite also. I liked it so much that I brought my friend her today and I very rarely eat at the same place on the same week unless it's something special. Let me tell u something... This place is special

Okay so here's the review. Never tried the Mexican food only the burger. The green chile burger. I get it with grilled jalapeño and like everything here, it's fresh jalapeño and not from a jar. And I have to say there is no other burger this good around. I live in Redlands and I made my wife drive down here just to try it, they're that awesome. Every time I work in this city and maybe sometimes when I don't. You know where you'll find me for lunch!!!!

Didn't understand what all the hype was about. Ordered the bacon cheeseburger with the "must try" egg and geez what a disappointment and complete waste of money. Lets begin by me stating I don't want tomatoes but guess what? I get tomatoes. When we took the first bite into the burger the only flavor I got was some soggy bacon , gooey egg, and very bland meat. If you have good quality ingredients you really don't need much to let it speak for itself. However, I feel as if they didn't even add salt and pepper to the burger. Simple ingredients go a long way. Anyways, I was really excited to try this place but sadly I was dissatisfied. The carne asada fries were very generous with the portion however the cheese they used was very mild in flavor and it just didn't hit the spot. The steak was cut up too thickly so it was kind of hard to chew. A bit overwhelming to be exact. I felt as if I was mommy cutting up food for my kid , by the time I finally got to chew my normal sized portions it was cold and unattractive. I wish nothing but the best for them however I personally wouldn't go out of the way again to try this place :(

Nice clean establishment. After a hot day at the shooting range and juicy burger is definitely in order! The burger was very juicy with all the toppings and the fries were hot and crisp. I can't say that this was THE BEST burger but it was tasty and full of flavor! It hit the spot and I left full and a smile on my face! If in the area, I would return and try something different.

Went for the first time today and got a green chili cheeseburger - it was absolutely delicious! Cooked perfectly, added onions and jalapeños, served hot off the grill. The burger was 6 oz - big enough to share. Will definitely be a regular here. BTW, the owner offered a sample of the carne asada and it was really good - large, tender, flavorful chunks. Highly recommend.

Hubby and I were all set to have mexican entrees here after the theatre, but the owner recommended the burgers. WOW, tasted and presented like a homemade burger. The buns were awesome and he threw in some chips so we could look forward to choosing mexican food on our next visit. The chips are homemade too! I just ordered a regular cheeseburger and it was amazing...wasn't sure I could get the whole bite in one try! Portable seating so we could bring lots of guests next time and push the chairs and tables together to fit all of us. Nice TV too!

With all the good reviews and foodie pix, I knew we had to try this place. Went here on a Sunday night but we didn't have any problem with parking. This located in a small plaza in Chino Hills. They had a decent dining area with, I believe 7-8 tables, wall-mounted TV. While waiting for our order, we were served free nacho chips which can be complimented by three options available from the open salsa bar. We tried the infamous Carne Asada fries-- very good indeed. Steak were soft and tender and fries were crispy? I had the Green Chili burger and as recommended by a few, added fried egg and as some have noted, it seems to be a simple burger with same green chili from salsa bar but will not take it against them cause it was really pretty good. Also, I like that the buns were toasted.

3 STARS! We tried the following: Carne Asada Fries: Super delicious. This was a meal within itself. They were pretty generous with the toppings: Carne asada, sour cream, tomatoes, cheese and guacamole. Thank God, my hubby and I split this as it was a lot to eat. Carne asada was very tasty. Overall, really delicious and I can see myself craving this when I am PMSing or pregnant. LOL! Oh Queso Burger: It had lettuce, tomato, cheese, onions and their special sauce. First off I have to give them props as their meat was fresh and you can taste it. The patty was thick and juicy and not at all wimpy like In-N-Out or other fast food burger chains. The bun was nice and fluffy almost like a brioche bun would be. The burger itself was a little plain though, I should have asked to add mushrooms or something. Green Chili Burger: Had monterrey jack cheese and green chili. Again, a decent, burger, but I did feel it was missing something. My husband enjoyed his burger though. Price: Prices here are quite reasonable and I think they do give you a good bang for your buck as portion sizes are quite generous! Overall, I think I would come back, but I think I may skip the burgers and try one of their burritos as their carne asada is super yummy! :) FYI: Be sure to check into this place on Yelp, you get 10% off your bill! :)

A chino hills gem! Great selection of MEXICAN-AMERICAN food. From fish tacos & wet burritos to tuna melts & hamburgers, this place has it all! I always stand infront of the register for a good 5 mins trying to pick just ONE item.. I like everything!! As soon as you put in your Order you can have a seat and enjoy chips & a full salsa bar while watching the game. Just go try it out yourself. Don't blame me for your future OH QUESO cravings

Been here multiple times and have been impressed every time. On my first visit I opted to be adventurous and try the lengua burrito. I had never had lengua before but I was hooked from the first bite. One of the most tender meats I've ever tasted. The complimentary salsas are all flavorful and delicious, and are perfect to compliment the tacos and burritos. My favorite is the green salsa. The staff are all helpful and friendly and make an effort to show that your business is appreciated. I will be returning to Oh Queso soon and often, and would highly recommend it to anyone seeking a delicious bite to eat.

OH MY GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My boyfriend picked out this place. He had the pastrami burger which was SO GOOD! As well as Carne Asda french fries which were also really good. The meat is very good quality which is great! I ordered the Chile rellano burrito and it was just amazing. I really recommend this place. Not only that the owner is a really great guy and super personable!!

This is my go to taco Tuesday place by my house. On Taco Tuesday, you get the fried tacos for about $1.25, only $0.25 less, but that's because they are so cheap regularly. I've had all of the fried tacos, I usually get potato or beef every time I go. I've also had a couple of their burgers, they are pretty good. I'm pretty sure it's the sweet buns that contribute to the deliciousness. The prices seem reasonable if you know what you're getting, I've never spent more than 15 here for 2 people. The service is usually pretty good, they greet you and say goodbye when you leave. I always see the tables being cleaned off almost as soon as people get up and leave. Always very friendly. Bonus Points for: Free chips and salsa- it's nice to see this at a small, very casual place Beer- they have beer, and it's not just the normal horrible beers. There's a selection of some domestic, import, and even some craft beers (22 oz available)

I stopped in to this little hidden gem today after hearing my friend rave about it for months and let me tell u.. he was not joking around!! I got off work and was feeling a bit lazy, honestly didn't wanna get out of my car and wait for food but as soon as I walked in the guy behind the counter (Chris) greeted me and was very genuinely pleasant. He helped me decide between the Chile Verde burrito or carne asada..I went with Chile Verde per his and my friends suggestion. It was amaze balls!! Coming from a Mexican family were I grew up on Chile Verde.. It was really very delicious! The kind of burrito I will crave just from there and go back many times for. Everything from the beans, tortilla, cheese and meat were mouth watering. He warned me it'd be a bit messy but it was nicely packaged and he provided me with some tortilla chips (homemade) that helped soak up the yummy sauces. Delish!! I waited no longer than 5 minutes.. it was WELL worth every second. This is my new favorite spot. Very affordable as well might I add. U can even enjoy a beer and watch the game while u wait. Great job guys!! Keep up the good work.

Oh Queso has the best tuna melt.... I am not sure what they do to it to make it my favorite... but it is so freaking good. I also love the free chips they give you.

Really great place to get a burger with home-made tastes. Quality ingredients - soft, chewy burger buns and oeey-gooey cheeses. The free tortilla chips are absolutely delicious and made in house. It's obvious that they use quality ingredients and take pride in their food. If it's your first time I recommend the Green Chili Cheeseburger with fried egg. Don't forget to ask for a basket of their home-made tortilla chips.

The food here is amazing and they can make your order anyway you want it! It's like a buffet except you don't have to do anything but pay and eat! All of their ingredients are fresh and nothing tastes bad, they have a really cool extra long center bench seating for bigger parties and 2 big flat-screen TV's always displaying sports and if thats not your thing and your the only one there you can ask them to change the channel to whatever you want to watch. Be sure to add the extra thick cut bacon to anything you want it is pure heaven on bacon earth! Staff is always on par ambiance is great, food is wonderful what more could you want from a food joint? A++++++ 8 stars

My new favorite place to get burgers. There Oh Queso burger is amazing, better than In&Out, The Habit, 50/50, and etc. Customer service is amazing and I like the layout of the restaurant. It seems like it could get crazy if the place is crowded, but I haven't had to deal with that yet. Overall, the food is amazing and I love supporting small businesses. 5/5

We ordered carne Asada burrito, carne Asada fries, and a cheese quesadilla. Burrito has big chunks of flavorless meat, huge slab of beans, and lettuce. Lettuce?! And where's the sour cream, cilantro, onions, cheese, guac? We had to re season the meat. Fries: the fries were mush from all the grease. Didn't eat them. It's just flavorless chunks of beef, and tomatoes. There might have been some cheese on the fries but again, they were mush, you couldn't even tell. Again... Where's the guac, onions, cheese, cilantro?! Quesadilla: super salty cheese on flour tortilla. Super greasy. It was like eating greasy salty tortilla. You think. Ok. Well at least the salsa will add flavor to the food and it won't be bad. Nope! Flavorless. Flavorless salsa. And we tried the green salsa, mild and spicy salsa. Bad. Bad.

This place is amazing. My pastrami cheeseburger was perfectly cooked. Juicy patty --brisket and ground chuck??? fresh veggies, fresh bun. And the pastrami was excellent! Not fatty, great flavor. I watched him assemble it like a surgeon. The fries were just as good. It's about a 25 minute drive for me but so worth it. Will be back again. SOON. Came with my 1 yr old son and sister!

As many of you know, I am in a constant search for the perfect breakfast burrito. I stopped here after a long night of drinking and I was hoping for a burrito to cure a hang over. I ordered two burritos, the carne asada breakfast burrito and a vegetarian burrito. The vegetarian burrito had egg, potato and cheese. Both burritos were great and the carne asada had a great flavor. However, the burrito was slightly dry and not overly amazing. The staff here is extremely nice and the fresh salsa bar is delicious. Tip: They offer a 10% discount for checking in on your Yelp app. Every little bit helps!

We were craving some fast food and wanted to try something new. After checking out all of the pix and reviews we decided on Oh Queso and we were not disappointed. The Carne Asada Fries were delicious. While I agree with a fellow poster that the steak was larger than most places it was also juicier and more tender. The flavors were spot on. We also had a bacon cheeseburger, cooked medium rare, and my friend was in heaven. The bun was soft but not too soft. The fish taco was very crispy on the outside and the fish melted in your mouth. The only adjustment we would like is a deeper flavor profile for the guac, the batter on the fish, and the red salsa. They just didn't have the depth of flavor we expected; a little one dimensional. All that to say we recommend this place.

I had to come here after I saw the picture of the burger. I was a bit skeptical but the name sounded cute so I thought I'd give it a try. I got the oh queso burger and the churro. I couldn't pass up dessert. Hi my name is Irene. Sugar addict. The burger was good. The buns were soggier than I like but somehow it all worked. The meat hit the spot even though the patty was falling apart.

Oh Queso is not exactly authentic Mexican food but I love their twist on the cuisine. Possibly one of the best carne asada fries I've had outside of San Diego. The steak is tender and cut into big chunks and they add guacamole and sour cream without extra charge. The Oh Queso burger here is delicious and same with the steak quesadilla. Their breakfast burritos are pretty bomb too. Even the chips (have to ask for 'em) that they give out for free is freaking delicious. It's not like the chips you see at the store. The chips are not too dry and not too oily ... just perfect! Food is made fresh to order here. So as much as I like this place .... their sauce section (i.e. salsa) sucks. I don't know if it's gotten any better recently but I shake my head every time I try to give their salsa a chance. Service is friendly and nice. Good prices for good food!

This place is pretty decent to satisfy that fried food craving. The boyfriend and I ordered fries, nachos, taquitos, and a shrimp burrito. I really really like their fries, and their taquitos are pretty alright, but their nachos were just bland and a little too oily (so my original 4 stars went down to 3). The boyfriend loved his shrimp burrito; he said it was absolutely delicious! I would come back to explore the rest menu, but I'll definitely come back for more fries.

Fantastic experience at O Queso earlier this evening. I had just come out of a workout so I was intending on not over-indulging on dinner. There wasn't anything on the menu that fit what I was looking for to a tee, so I asked if they could custom me a plate that included pollo asado, fried eggs and guacamole. To my delight, our cashier said she would. In the interim, the kid munched on their delicious chips. Now, last time, I had a bit of a qualm with the horchata lacking sweetness. Well, they nailed it this time. It was sweet and comforting. Just as I had hoped. Our plates came, she reveled at her quesadilla which was oozing with cheese, and more importantly, not too swimming in grease. My custom plate came out and I was quite happy with what I saw. A hefty portion of chicken, two nicely fried eggs and guac.. They even gave me a little foil of corn tortillas just in case I felt like carbing up. Great experience tonight at OQueso. Bravo!

I don't know what happened to this place. I used to come and enjoyed it every weekend. I think their chef is changed , because today I had simple chicken salad and I hate it. It had No flavor what so ever . It felt like grass with some kind of meat which had every muscle in it. Even guacamole had no flavor. I would not go back .

I've been going to Oh Queso since they have opened. Everything here is amazing! My review will have mixed comments, hope this helps! Burgers are highly recommended. Burgers are cooked a little pink but you can ask them to make it well done. They also drown the burgers in their sauce and their bread is really soft. So the pink burger with all that sauce, cheese etc makes for a big mess. Sometimes way to sloppy and soggy. The fries here are so fresh hot and delicious. When I was on Atkins the Caesar salad with carne asada was one of my go to meals. Tacos, taquitos and burritos are soooo good here too. The last few times I got the carne asada burrito and its just been GREASE soaked meat. The grease dripping out of the burrito harden as is settled on my wrapper. Obviously its trans fat or lard cause it harden from liquid to solid quite quickly. Unless they get rid of all that gross grease I don't think ill be ordering the carne asada burrito anymore. Unless you like having your whole mouth coated in fat and grease. The carnitas burrito is good. The meat was moist and wet. The only thing is that there is no flavor, it tastes like plain slow cooked pork. I love the chips here! Bacon wrapped hotdog was mediocre. The bread or Texas toast they use on their grilled cheese is kinda un-appetizing. Salsa here is super plain... Its really plain or if you get the other one its really bitter and spicy. I always mix it now. Hope this helps everyone! Overall, they have good healthy and unhealthy food choices, something for everyone. You won't be disappointed! I highly recommend burger lovers to come here. The burgers are bomb!!! I tell friends all the time Oh Queso has better burgers than The Habit and any other burger place for their price range. And that's the difference i think. The burgers are priced great and sooo good.

Hello helpers! Idk how this place got 4 starts. . This is my first & only day I visited so it could have been an off day. I ordered the chicken breast sandwich & the carne asada fries. The food was super greasy, flavorless &. the fries were bland & stale. I was expecting the chicken sandwich to be the dry plate but the carne asada fries was the plate we couldn't even finish. I don't like wasting good but it was not good at all. I won't be back. Have a great week yelpers!

Located in the Stater Bros Plaza off of Chino Hills Pkwy & Grand Ave. The chile burger had great flavor, although it was a bit dry. I think I will add an egg next time! The bun they used was delicious. If every burger joint used this kind of bun...I would be a happy camper! My friend ordered the carne asada fries. The quality of meat was okay, but the fries were a bit underwhelming. She also ordered the horchata, which was tasty! Prices are good. Flavors are good. I am definitely interested in trying some other menu items!

Positive upgrade from my prior review. Had the green chili burger, the pastrami burger, and Tuna melt. Bomb.

Read all the good reviews so we had to try it. Burgers are AMAZING!!! I had the pastrami burger and my hubby had the green chili burger with fried egg and fried onions/jalapeños. Both get 5 stars! Super messy but super GOOD! Kids had been & cheese burritos and were happy too. Definitely going back!

The complimentary salsas are all flavorful and delicious, and are perfemakerluoct to compliment the tacos and burritos. My favorite is the green salsa. The staff are all helpful and friendly and make an effort to show that your business is appreciated.

Good food! Quality ingredients! Gourmet level flavors! We will be back! Green chili burger was great and the carne asada is top notch.

I've had bad experiences here. Most recently I ordered a bean and rice burrito. They messesd it up. The upper half of the burrito had rice, the lower had beans which tasted like second hand smoke. Would never recommend this place under normal circumstances.

Oh- Queso is the BOMB!!! Love the Carne Asada Fries and Green Chili Cheeseburger! Puts Guy Fieri's place in Vegas to shame! Will definitely be back to try the other burgers!

My one complaint is the wait time. Your looking at, at least a 30 min wait even if you order something simple. A little over priced for a "fast food joint." Was definitely just a one time thing

Free Chips .. yay.. home made chips YAHHUHH! I came here expecting lots of QUESO dishes, but there was nothing too special. I tried the taquitos came with five for about $6. They were okay, a little oily and the pork was surprisingly fresh but a bit bland. chimichanga: was huge! It was also a little oily and the presentation of it was great. My favorite was the chili verde burger... YUMMAY!! I think next time I come here, I would try their burgers again. You can also add a fried egg.. I didnt realize there was that option because we got there near closing time and I just quickly ordered. tip: I seem like its more of a healthier mexican food place. This place clean and is not your typical mexican dirty restaurant. You can see the cook make your dish because it was an open kitchen.

We had high hopes for this place because based on the reviews. Since its on the way home from my husband's work, we decided to finally try it. We ordered the Oh Queso burger combo, tuna melt, and grilled cheese for my daughter. The Oh Queso burger was much smaller than expected based of the photos we saw on Yelp. My husband said it was ok but that he was disappointed and couldn't believe this place had a 4 star rating. I had the tuna melt which had no taste or seasoning. Plus the cheese wasn't melted and the bread was soft and soggy. I could've made a better one with a can of tuna and mayo. My daughter's grilled cheese wasn't grilled cheese at all but just soggy bread with cheese that wasn't melted. She took one bite and didn't eat it. The sandwiches at this place are terrible and whoever is cooking it has no idea how to grill a sandwich to make it crispy. Maybe they need to add more butter. The only thing that was good were the fries that came with the combo so 1 star for the fries. I'll definitely come back for that but nothing else. The service was good and the people working there are nice so another star for that. But whoever is cooking the food, please add salt and pepper, and learn how to grill sandwiches!

Ordered food to go one day . . . they forgot to put in the flour tortilla . . . a bit upset as I was looking forward to my meal 'complete' . . . went back a few days later to order Carne Asada plate and told the girl at the counter about them forgetting the flour tortilla and since the Carne Asada is a lotta meat, I thought I'd request for her to give me an extra tortilla to make up for the last time. She happily oblige . . . and when she handed me the bag to go, I noticed there is only one tortilla . . . all she could tell me is that they won't give me an extra one . . . ? ? ? an extra tortilla they cannot afford to give out to make a regular customer happy ? A LOUSY TORTILLA??? SERIOSLY? It's not about the stupid tortilla . . . it's about the principle . . . oh well . . .

The place- good but missing something besides two large screen tv's not a lot the service- good, friendly, fast, clean food- good, good size, real carne asada, good fries, taquitos need a side sauce too dry, overall solid place

Oh Queso, oh yum-O! My husband and I originally went to some other place in Chino Hills for Mexican food. But they were closed! Sometimes Yelp hours are incorrect ; ( But it was a good thing because we discovered Oh Queso! We came twenty minutes before closing. It was still pretty packed with a couple customers getting to go orders. I ordered the carne asada burrito and my husband had a burger (can't remember which one!) We sat down to eat because I was starving! The cashier/server brought us some chips and it was good! Super crunchy and was great with their different salsas. I loved the spicy red one! It made my you-know-what burn real good the next day. The green salsa was good, too. My burrito came and it was ginormous! I was pleasantly surprised on the first bite- fresh, crisp, green lettuce with perfectly cooked carne asada! The meat was light, juicy and not overly salty. There was refried beans somewhere... not a fan of refried beans. I would probably omit that next time around. Swap it for some good 'ol guacamole! I covered my burrito with the salsa and chomped away. I ended up taking home half of my burrito, but I finished it that very night! I couldn't resist... It was that good! Oh Queso offers fresh ingredients that is full of flavor but doesn't feel heavy on salt or greasiness. I'm definitely a fan!

The Green Chili burger + fried egg I got was okay, nothing to write home about. The thick patty was juicy but there was nothing enticing about the burger though. My friend got the Oh Queso Burger and he said it was alright. He didn't like all the runny juices dripping out of the burger. The large fries I bought to share had way too little for "large" side of fries..I'm pretty sure it was a small side but I didn't dispute it since I'd already eaten some. The fries are over fried for my taste. I could still taste the soft potato inside the fry, but the outside was fried enough to cut my mouth after eating a few of them.

I have yet to eat something here that I don't like. The green Chile burger is AMAZING (don't forget to add an egg on it) The service is excellent and the food is always cooked fresh right in front of you. Highly recommend this place

Tried the Carne Asada Fries here because Albertos food quality is very poor and ended up loving this place! This was definitely a hole in the wall that I clearly missed for a while now, the Carne Asada Steak in these fries were so delicious, very thick pieces of steak and not just little crumbs. They also have a self serve sauce station where we are able to pack as many sauce as we want and not have the employees be stingy and provide only 3 packets for a huge box of fries. This will be my to go spot for Carne Asada fries whenever I am in Chino!

To be fair, their staff is very nice and friendly. Their food is great, however, the one downside is that the burger patty was way too fat with a lot of tendon in there. I'm not used to "not lean" burger patties, maybe i should try another burger instead? I ordered the Jalapano burger. I know it's funny how i'm eating burgers and wanting lean meat, which is ironic, but you kind of get tired of the fattening taste to the end of the burger.

Boyfriend and I came in tonight for our first visit. The ambiance needs work, but the fresh delicious food made up for it. I got a carne asada burrito, the tortilla was grilled just like its supposed to be, and I had it with rice, sour cream, lettuce and cheese. Their red chili hot salsa was SUPER hot but really good. Their chips are also great, still hot right out of the fryer. Bf had the taquito plate that came with rice, beans, a little guacamole and sour cream... he really liked it. We decided to order a cheeseburger too and it was GREAT! The beef was so juicy, the bun was a soft, possibly a sweet brioche type? not sure. But delicious and they grill it. It had grilled onions, cheese, lettuce, tomato and a yummy thousand island like sauce! BEST burger I've had in a while. Better than IN-N-Out and The Habit even. Service was great. When we are in the area we wil definitely be back!!

The carne asada fries are pretty bad. I've had wayyyyy better! The fries are pretty crispy, but the meat is really dry and too huge of a chunks. Pictures make it look good, but overall it isn't that good to me.

When my family and I first came here, we were greeted by the friendly cashier. She answered our questions and gave us suggestions. She informed us that their burgers were good. I got the green chile burger with fried egg & it was sooo good! We also got warm chips & salsa. My kids for the taquitos & quesadilla, however I did not get a chance to try it. My fiancé got a bacon burger w/ fried egg and enjoyed it. Love this place and I'm glad it's so close to home!

Moving from sd, I longed for carne asada fries. And Oh Queso you fill that crave. Your carne asada is perfect. Sometimes there might be too much cheese on my fries.but who's to complain, your restaurant is called Oh Queso for crying out loud. My boyfriend always orders the pastrami burger with an egg and he always manages to finish the whole thing. The sauce they put in it tastes like a thousand island dressing and I must say it compliments the burger perfectly...did I mention the pastrami burger doesn't just have pastrami in it, it also has a burger patty. I'm sure I couldn't eat this everyday but once a week won't kill me as fast, right?

I love going to this place after church on sundays with my family. The staff and owner are always very friendly. I've ordered their shredded beef burrito, Asada burrito, salads, shrimp burrito and grilled chicken sandwich and they all taste so good. Generous portions and free refills on drinks. Prices are very reasonable.

Decided to stop by Oh Queso on the recommendation of a fellow Yelp friend. I wasn't disappointed. I met Chris A. (fellow yelper and owner) and his wife who run the joint. Really friendly service and fresh ingredients. They ground their own beef in shop. I have to admit that I need to return to actually try a burger. I was in need of some eggs so ordered the California Breakfast Burrito (flour tortilla filled with eggs, french-fries, cheese, sour cream and your choice of ham, bacon, pastrami, chorizo/machaca or carne asada). I had the machaca. I couldn't find the plate that enticed me as in the Yelp photo and apparently another customer asked them to plate their burrito and serve the tortillas on the side. I did the same. It was good, but I didn't get any sour cream. Were there french fries tossed in mine? It did have grilled vegetables. It left me feeling full most of the afternoon and doesn't leave you feeling too heavy. I enjoyed the salsas and fresh chips they throw into the order. I was a bit skeptical ordering coffee from a huge Nescafe machine, but the cappuccino was good! Nice strong flavor and just the right amount of sweetness. Also tried the Carne Asada plate. Unfortunately, I thought it tasted moist, but was a little bland. My Mom likes the one at Casa Alvarez as it has a little crispness to it and more flavor. Looking forward to returning and hopefully the burger blowing me away. Ka-Pow!

Food here is great. I went in craving mexican food and ended up with a burger. Let me start by saying the stall very friendly, kind, and helpful. The place is clean, good lighting, and comfortable tables. The burger was amazing with great flavor and good size. My family also had tacos, nacho fries, and drinks. All had good taste and flavor. I'm a chili person do the hotter the better, this place has hott chili. Prices are fair and portions are good size. The place closed at 8:00 on Sunday, however we stood there eating and enjoy our food. The staff picked up out plates and thanked us for coming. We will definitely return to eat here. We all being said, I will recommend to anyone.

One evening after skipping lunch and battling thru work ignoring my stomachs constant complaints 'Feed me.. feed me you inconsiderate bastard!'. I decided to pick up some take out on the way home. I pull up my trusty yelp phone app and look for places on the route home. Being new to Chino Hills, and this being the first time ordering from any restaurant in the area, I decided to take a gamble on Oh Queso... and boy was I pleased with my decision! First of all, the girl who answered the phone was extremely helpful and put up with my indecisiveness. She helped me decide between the nachos and the fries that I saw on the pics posted by other users...And I sure am happy I listened, because they were tasty! I also ordered the bacon cheese burger with a fried egg (I also saw it on one of the pics) and that was also quite delicious. I love the bread they use on their burgers and you can tell they use fresh ingredients just by the taste. I've only stopped by for take out but I did notice it's also a clean, relaxed environment with large TVs to entertain you while you dine in. Ever since my first time I've ordered take out twice more and haven't been disappointed. So far my favorites are the green chili burger with the fried egg, but I have yet to try any of their burritos or tacos. I plan on continue coming here for take out and enjoying their awesome customer service and delicious concoctions! I'd definitely recommend this little spot to anyone who lives or is passing by the area. Till next time!

I've gone to this place sooo many times ordering the same thing (its hard to even 'want' to order something different when you like one thing so much) I feel obliged to give it a review. I always get the Oh queso burger, not because I'm a huge hamburger person, but because its the best hamburger around. The sauce and type of meat they use makes it perfection. I have a hard time eatting In N Out after this place because its suddenly tastes so sub-par.

Dope burger spot. They have more than just burgers tho. They have all kinds of mexican food as well but I believe the burgers are the most popular. I ordered the oh queso burger with an egg on top. It was good but also very very hot. Like super fresh hot off the grill. I couldn't wait for it to cool down and my hands were practically burning on the bun! The burger is very good, has a house sauce on it. The egg makes it super runny and slippery. The burger fell apart real fast but it was really good still. Over all it was a good place and Id come back again.

I got the two tacos plate, along with an order of chicken tortilla soup. The plate had clean and not-too greasy food on it, atypical of other Mexican restaurants. The tortilla soup was cooked to order, so it took about 30 minutes for it to come out. It was definitely worth the wait, though! Bottomline: it's a relatively new spot in Chino Hills, so I was glad to be able to come and enjoy the food!

I found Oh Queso using yelp. Went to try it after reading the reviews. I got the hamburger and my wife got the Queso burger, they were both great. The burger was like homemade, the bun was soft and tasted great. The produce was fresh and delicious. We saw the picture of the Carne Asada Fries and had to try them. Wow, they were great. The meat was freshly cooked steak, chopped...no bag or pre-made. The potatoes were great but the guacamole was like home made. Oh yeah and it was huge!! Highly recommend anyone to try Oh Queso! Next time we will try some of the Mexican food.

Everytime we come we are NOT disappointed. The place is CLEAN. You can see right into the food prep area! Clean! All the food is fresh! Pastrami burger is incredible! The chips are fresh and salsa tasty! The prices are reasonable. Furniture is well maintained and has a hip feeling to it! Well ventilated and a GOOD number of windows. I took a group of motorcyclist there and they TOTALY loved that place! We take friends there often after church and no one has been disappointed yet!

My parents just got back from a week in Kansas so I ask him what he wants to eat, he said "nothing that's bullshit, I just ate bullshit for a week." I said look on Yelp and find a place. Found this place and it ended up being a good pick. I got a shrimp taco, we split an order of the carne asada fries, order of taquitos, dad got the pastrami burger and mom got the carnitas burrito. Everything was great! Fresh, hot, and the service was great! Couple tvs mounted on the walls with games on and customer service was great! We would definitely be back! #ohqueso

I'm so happy to see Oh Queso is getting busier! Great burgers and fries (don't let the name fool you, this is a burger joint!). Their tacos and burritos are good too. Small, clean, friendly...and there's a Yelp deal if you check in! Give em a try and you'll become a regular too! It feels good to support local small businesses!

Loved the carne asada fries! Not a huge fan of the green chile burger everyone was raving about but then I'm not a huge fan of burgers. I do recommend you at least check this place out. The owner and staff are cool and welcoming.

First time here today and I ordered the bacon cheeseburger :) super juicy! The meat was nice and thick, the sauce they made was tangy and the bun was perfect. The bacon was to die for too. Plus the service was kind and friendly. Will come back to try out more items!

Yum! I'm a new fan of Oh Queso, Here's the breakdown: Oh Queso Burger with a fried egg- This was DELICIOUS...it's pretty much a heart attack inducing combination of a nice slab of meat (brisket no less) and veggies slathered in their special sauce and topped off with a fried egg (add $1) in a nicely toasted bun. We have never had an egg with a burger before, but after reading the reviews we decided to go big or go home since this was our first time. The one extra dollar for the egg was soo worth it! Yum! Carne Asada Fries: pretty good, the meat they use is top notch! Everything was pretty basic, guac, sour cream, cheese etc, I read some complaints about the fries but the ones we had were not bad. Price: super cheap, both of them combined were only $9 and change Tip: Check in with Yelp for 10% off! :) Next up, we want to try their rib-eye burrito!

I couldnt get past the idea of the green chili burger was just a regular burger that they just poured the green chili from the salsa bar over the burger. very disappointed. i could have done that myself at the salsa bar and saved 50 cents. just might have to give this place one more try, dont let me down!!

Came here because of the reviews for the burgers. Why is a Mexican place known for burgers? I have no clue but who cares. It's good. Had green chili burger and the flavors were good. The size of the patty is a good size for the price. It's a bit on the greasy side though. The chips and salsa are really good. I'd definitely be back because of the taste, price, and chips...

After yelping the area from 1 star-5 star restaurants I gave up on finding anything remotely interesting on the streets of Chino, Pomona, Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, and Walnut. After some digging I managed to spot Oh queso and bookmarked to try it the next time I came up. I ordered the carne asada fries and the oh queso burger. I could have had a different experience because I get my burgers without lettuce/tomatoes but the patty itself wasn't cutting it for me. The carne asada fries were OK at best and I couldn't help but wonder why they didn't add any flavor to the bland potatoes they served me. The guac and salsa helped a bit here and there but overall it was lacking flavor all around. My burger was cooked well but it tasted average, like a burger I could make from buying a patty at Ralphs and slathering it with some thousand island and cheese. The bun was a failed attempt at being unique in my opinion. It was soft and absorbed the sauce like a sponge ultimately resulting in a soggy bun that was difficult to hold and eat. I want to come back to try other menu items because maybe what I tried wasn't the best option for me, but overall it was just an okay place. I could have eaten a more unique burger at the multitude of chains that plague these towns.

We ordered the green chili burger and the bacon cheeseburger. Both of them were delicious! The restaurant is clean and staff is nice. The only thing that was a little annoying was the amount of time it took for our order to be ready. Other than that, everything was good for a burger joint.

Today was my first visit to Oh Queso and I loved it. I'm somewhat of a burger fanatic and Oh Queso delivers on every level. For my first visit I wanted to start with burger the house which n this case would be the "Oh Queso" Cheese Burger. There is no question that fresh quality ingredients are being used. The "Oh Queso" Cheese Burger starts with a toasted egg bun, 6oz beef blend of chuck and brisket, tomatoes, onions, lettuce and their version of special sauce. I opted to have mine with a fried egg which is the best thing missing from most burgers (just my opinion). It's a beautiful sight when it's delivered to your table and its a 15 napkin investment while you're eating. It's burger nirvana. This place is special and if it were in the center of the city or near a bar there would be a line going out the door much like you'd find at Hodad's in San Diego. It was 11:30 am on Sunday when I visited and The Habit which I passed on the way was hopping. I was only one I Oh Queso which worries me. I don't want to see this local gem disappear. I'm looking forward to my next visit to try a burrito and some tacos.

I have been going to Oh Queso for over a year now and have never been disappointed until last visit on November 14. I was very disappointed with both the food and service. The food was not seasoned like it normally is and it was cold when it got to the table. We also had to wait an excessively long time to be served while two large parties that ordered after us were served and well into there meals. I guess the lesson to be learned is to avoid Oh Queso when it is busy.

This is the second time I'm here and it only got better. The food is fresh, tasty, and to a great proportion! But the best part is the service, these guys are great so friendly and helpful. But above all the food is SO GOOD!

YAY! this place is great for good food at a good price pros: -burgers -knuckle sandwich -fries -salsa bar -chips -service -tv and they show all the games without the crowd cons: -mexican food aint that great the prices here are really great for what you get in a burger. a nicely toasted yellow sweet bun with a well seasoned hand formed meat patty. ADD AN EGG and you got a great meal for a great price. burgers are only 5.25 knuckle sandwich. they have a stock of bootleggers beers and will carry knuckle sandwich once in a while! very nice touch. fries are always hot and delicious i wish the mexican food was a bit more flavorful or authentic. i guess its just a bit disappointing cause of the name of the restaurant. still i can see the effort. service is always good. FOUR STARS- great price. quality food. honesty in the cooking. great service.

Reasonably priced, good quality burgers. Just take a look at the photos. Try the pastrami fries too...imagine animal style fries, with pastrami. Service is good, but slow due to usually just 1 cook, at most 2 cooks (that I've seen).

Lets see, whats not to love? Great food. Nice and clean place to sit and eat. Great Staff. The cashier/server Lauren is awesome and gives great customer service. Couldn't wait to tried carne asada fries after reading all the reviews & pictures. Came in to find out they're out of guacamole. If you want carne asada fries they will add more sour cream in place of guacamole instead of lowering the price. So tired the pastrami fries & man they put way too much special sauce (thousand island) it was so rich after the first bite. Fries were okay frozen type not fresh like in-in-out. Oh queso cheeseburger was just ok. Wasn't offer complementary chips but think if you get it to go you do. Saw a couple order to go got the free chips but end up dining in so maybe that's the secret. Overall wouldn't come back had a not so great first experience.

I really wanted to try something new. I read the reviews and I thought it sounded perfect. We went on a Friday night and there was a good amount of people. My fiancé and I saw the variety of food: tacos, burgers, quesadillas, etc. I had the taco combo: tacos were alright, rice seemed to be re-cooked as some parts were crunchy and the beans were good with some crunchy ones. My fiancé had the green chili burger and he loved it. I had a bite and i wished I ate a burger instead. French fries I had could have been better. The servers were nice and helpful. The only minor thing was that we said we were dining in and she put in a to-go box but that wasn't a big deal. I Rate from: bad, okay, good, great and excellent Atmosphere: Okay - Simplistic, casual Food: Okay Service: Good Overall: Good 3/5 stars

I randomly decided to come here with the boyfriend for dinner, and it was a great decision. (Thanks, Yelpers!) The boyfriend ordered carne asada soft tacos, and I opted for the green chili cheeseburger with a fried egg and of course, we shared. The carne asada soft tacos were amazing- not very authentic, but it wasn't what we expected anyway. Still, the meat was juicy and overall, the tacos were filling. While the tacos were good, the burger was SO delicious that it definitely beat out the tacos, which was unexpected because it is a Mexican spot. Anyway, it's a must try! It gets a little messy, but my god- it was one of the best burgers I've had at a small restaurant and only for about $5?! (Add the fried egg, y'all. It's lifechanging.) The only reason I'm not giving it a full 5 stars is because their Taco Tuesday doesn't apply to all tacos. I know, it sounds so petty. Oops.

Taco nite! Fried tacos were worth $1 each! Salsa tasted like refrigerator! (Guess it was from last night) burrito 5.29 Quesadilla 4.00 Fountain drink 1.50 Good prices.. We'll be back!

When I first saw the sign for this place I thought it was going to be a quesadilla spot... I got the shrimp tacos and pastrami burger. to be honest, the burger wasn't anything special, the pastrami was over cooked and it didn't come with cheese! with a name like "oh queso" you would expect burgers to come with cheese. the shrimp tacos were ok, little too much of a buttered flavor for my taste. I will probably be back

  • Bina U.

Went there based on yelp reviews. Will probably go back. Great pastrami burger. Yummy crispy fries. The ranch seems to be bottled but it was ok. The chicken burrito had wayyyy too much beans. Wasn't very tasty. The chicken quesadilla was ok but again missing some flavor. Chips and salsa were great. Staff was super nice.

So thanks to Jona for telling me about this place! It's awesome. I've only tried two things: the carne asada burrito (ordered by my hubby) and a tostada salad with carne asada (mine). Both were packed with meat and it was good meat. The place was clean and the salsa bar was really good. I loved everything, but my favorite were the tortilla chips that they give you for free. They were fresh and warm. I can't wait to go back tonight for taco Tuesday and try more of the menu. The tostada shell was made just like the chips. It had some refried beans at the bottom followed by a heaping pile of carne asada and then fresh cut lettuce, chopped tomatoes, guacamole and sour cream. I put a bunch of salsa on top and chowed down. This is definitely a place we will go to again. I still have to try the burgers.

Thank you Yelpers for leading me to Oh Queso. We've been here numerous times now and I always intend to try other things on their menu but always end up with the green chili cheeseburger. YUM!

I love burgers. I'll drive to Claremont and to LA just to have a burger. I first heard about Oh Queso when I passed by it. I thought, "Oh, cool. I wonder if the mexican food is any good." I go home and decide to look on Yelp to see if the place was any good. What the fuck. They sell burgers? Tuna melt? After looking at reviews, I decided to try out the Oh Queso cheeseburger. Extraordinary. Flavorful. What kind of sauce is this? The bun tastes amazing. Damn, the meat is flavorful and juicy. Best burger in Chino Hills? Oh yeah.

Stopped in here with the family and everything we ate was delicious... Rib Eye burrito, chile relleno burrito (yum!) and with a suggestion from the owner I tried the pastrami burger. A burger doesn't get any better than this. Quality meat and buns as well as fresh toppings. I will definitely eat here again.

Absolutely disgusting. I had one bite of the supposed rib-eye steak burrito and immediately smelled and tasted rotten meat. I split out and others around smelled it and almost gagged. My wife tasted it and agreed it was rotten. After that, I was so noxious I couldn't smell or look at their food anymore. Disgusting. How does a restaurant let their meat rot and serve it to people? Obviously it wasn't fresh or even cooked the same day. I'm so sick, I don't think I can eat the rest of the day.

I liked the food, the service and price. The cashier was friendly and helpful. The food came out fast and hot. The place was clean. I got the Oh Queso buger and loved it. The patty was thick, juicy and flavorful. I liked the bun and all the toppings. The french fries had a perfect crisp and perfect thickness. My wife got a grilled chicken sandwich that was also very tasty. We thought the burger was better than all the franchises around. I think it was only about $14 for the two of us. Try this place.

They say first impressions are everything. I am glad I didn't allow them to get the better of me when I walked into Oh Queso. The look is pretty bland but I came here today based on the Yelp reviews. Glad I did! I ordered something most Mexican restaurants mess up on, fish tacos. When they came out I was amazed at the size of the fish they putt in them...huge! With double corn tortillas and cabbage...delicioso. I got the complimentary chip basket and had their very tasty salsa. Overall based on this visit the food is a home run. Can't wait to come back and try the burritos. One more thing. Well two really, very good prices based on the food portions and a good selection of bottled imports. Not a lot on the Mexican beers surprisingly. I am coming back.

I don't eat red meat very often but on the rare occasions that I do, Oh Queso is definitely the place for me to visit. This rare find, family oriented, gem of a restaurant/dive is a nice casual spot to grub on a burger alone or with a group of friends. The carne asada fries are delicious. The meat is so tender you can totally taste the quality of the cut. The burgers are huge with a bit of a gourmet custom feel in every bite. I've also had their shrimp burrito w/ just the right touch of butter and lemon perfectly cooked and butterflied!! Yum!! The owners are hospitable and accommodating and I love how the orders are taken from an iPad register .. Very nifty! So if you're ever cruising around Chino Hills off of Grand Ave. & Chino Hills Pkwy, you definitely need to visit Oh Queso .. totally worth it :)

Owners are awesome! They are quick to please. They use ribeye for carne asada, yummy! Burgers are big and juicy. Can't wait to watch the Laker games there! and...the place is still new but adding more to the menu.

Yum yum yum! My cheeseburger was fresh and delicious. This establishments cheeseburgers are definitely giving ln N Out and Five Guys Burgers some tough competition! I consider them better than The Habit. The fries were also fresh and delicious! I am recommending Oh Queso to everyone. I will be back soon! Thank you for the awesome food and service!

  • Mark H.

Just had my first Oh Queso burger and happy to say it was juicy and delicious!! Fries were...eh...not great but nit bad. Slightly crispy but needed salt (perhaps they leave seasoning to customers). Anyway, I look forward to my next burger here. Perhaps with an egg added or at least bacon. Definitely worth a try!

  • Chad M.

This place is absolutely fantastic. It's my two favorite things combined...mexican food and burgers! If I lived closer I would eat there all the time. My girlfriend and I came here a few weeks back and we both loved our food. I had the Oh Queso burger and my girlfriend had the chile burger. Both were extremely juicy and surprisingly large for the price. I couldn't decide which one I liked better, but I guess that's a good reason to come back. Everything on the menu looks amazing. The only reason it's not 5 stars is because it was cooked slightly more than I would have liked and a couple of bites were a bit salty. It's an easy fix, and after I try it again I'm sure my review will change.

  • Eric C.

Saw the picture from yelp and since it also had high rating and I decided to try it yesterday. The yelp pictures of the chile burger with fried egg looked so good so I ordered one. Well....hmmm it was just okay, not something that will wow me over and most likely will not go back again. Just a burger nothing else costs over six bucks!

Super Good!! Found this place while searching through Yelp, OMG BEST FIND EVER!!! complimentary chips and salsa, the portions are very large compared to how much you are paying, very good!! Not so fond of the cheap tacos but sandwiches and burgers delicious!

    (5)
  • Hilda O.

Good carne asada burrito though it lacks a little in the classic heartiness that the local Alberto's has down. However, it does compensate with the steak quality and flavor! My son ordered the carne asada fries and was very pleased. It can easily serve many. The salsa bar was good and the free, home made chips was a nice touch.

  • J.E. M.

Had the Oh Queso burger and it was Oh So Good! This is no fast food quality burger. If you've tried Umami Burger, then this is very similar. The only difference I might say is that these burgers are not the slider size of Umami. Oh and Megan is Oh So Nice and has great customer service.

After rave reviews my boyfriend and I decided to try out this place. The interior is kind of small, but does have ample seating. After looking over the menu I decided to go for the green chili burger combo meal. My boyfriend got the pastrami burger. While we were waiting we were given chips (they were fresh and delicious). There is also a salsa bar that has your typical verde salsa, salsa rojo and etc. The salso rojo was really spicy and delicious. It wasn't long until our food arrived. Our burgers were pretty big. The green sauce on my burger was little spicy (which I enjoyed very much), the meat is very good quality, and the bun was so delicious! When my boyfriend got his burger, he noticed right away that there was hardly any pastrami on his burger. To make matters worse, there was a huge piece of fat in the pastrami the size of my fist. Aside from that flaw, he enjoyed his burger. The fries were really crispy and had a lot of flavor. We will definitely be coming back to this place.

I came here the other night with my fiancee. We had seen the reviews on Yelp, and finally decided the it was time to try this spot. I am sure glad we did. The area needed a cool little spot with good food. I had the shredded beef burrito which was moist and tender. The meat was of very high quality. It wasn't spiced much, which was good so that you could add their flavorful salsas to enhance the flavor. My fiancee had the rib eye burrito which she adored. We also had carne asada nachos, which had big, juicy tasty hunks of steak. I will defiantly come back for the hamburgers, which they grind their own meat for fresh every day. The owner Chris and his family were very friendly and inviting.

It's decent. Glad it opened up in this part of town, which is pretty lacking. The food is priced right and the salsa is good.

  • Cat S.

The food was very bland. I got the taquitos and they didn't have Any flavor. The onion rings were delicious though. Also, the two girls working there had their hair down while they were preparing the food. This is gross, they could have at least put it in a ponytail.

The burgers are amazing! I recommend the chili verde burger... Ask them to add a fried egg. Ridiculous how tasty a burger can be

  • Victoria C.

This place was good. Meat was uber fresh, buns were nice and soft, yet lightly toasted. I had the green chili burger and husband had the original queso burger and we split the carne asada fries. The food was great, plenty to eat and priced right for the $$. We'll be sure to share this with our friends. We love supporting local establishments.

Ordered the steak burrito. They aren't kidding when they say steak!! The use rib eye and it's very fresh and delicious! You have to request to add lettuce tomatoes ect. But it's very good a bit pricey but worth every penny!

Totally nice and greezy. The bacon cheeseburger and the oh queso burger are really good. The burgers are put together well and the atmosphere is good. There are TV's inside so you can relax after you have fallen victim to a food coma. Service is friendly and patient. Will definitely be coming back here.

My husband found this on Yelp and this is now our new fave place for a quick meal. The quality of the food is so good and for a great price!!! Love the burgers and Taco Tuesday. You also get a whole thick steak on top of the carne asada nachos. Very impressive food quality!

Found this place on yelp and decided to try it due to all the great reviews. Ive come here with my boyfriend multiple times and everytime we come we never leave disappointed. The food is here ranges from burritos to burgers. The chorizo burrito is one of my all time favorites and is delicious! We are also always provided with chips and salsa. The salsa is very fresh. Great place for a great price!

First time trying this place. Family wanted try something new and saw good reviews so took chance and paid off. Got carne Asada fries which were great Asada so tender fries crispy. I got bacon burger which was huge and juicy they form their patties and put time and care into making their food. Will no doubt be going there again

Thanks to Yelp reviews we learned about this great little Mexican rest. It's in a shopping center without heavy traffic so most wouldn't know it was there. We tried Taco Tues & the tacos were SO YUMMY. .99 cent ground meat, chicken or potato tacos. It's a little more if you want sour cream & guac on them. I usually use that to cover up the flavor but these tacos were great with just the salsas they offer. They grind their own meat fresh & the chips are also home made. Since everyone is raving about the hamburgers I look forward to going back to have one! The prices are very reasonable, food fresh, & service great. What more can you ask for? Give it a try. Also, check-in via Yelp when you go for an extra 10% off your bill.

Good Family owned joint with good burgers. Staff was nice and friendly. The carne asada fries weren't as good as I hoped. Probably wont order those again. I think they need to use thicker fries instead of the shoestring ones.

  • Erika D.

I have enjoyed everything I have ordered from here so far. Taquitos, burriots, shimp tacos, horchata, and more....Good stuff!! It's right next to my work, so I know when I don't bring food I can get something satisfying from here. I hope they end up staying, the location isn't the greatest. Oh and they always have very nice clean restrooms, thats a plus for me.

Yummmm! Had a craving for a good hamburger on a Saturday afternoon and went here based on Yelp reviews. We had the bacon burger, green chili burger, and a regular cheeseburger. Hamburgers the way they should be- made with great bread and meat. We shared an order of large fries. Craving satisfied! Will definitely be coming back!

always drive by this place, live within walking distance and been wondering if i should try it. the answer is YES. here's the lowdown. fries sucked, wouldn't have imagined them any better even with carne asada on them. tasted like a more gross version of burger king fries. miild and green salsa were watered down, no taste. chips were good. BURGER was great, EXCEPT the fact the meat in the middle was pink!!!!!!!!!!!! i had the oh queso burger, awesome!!! i guess just specify you want your meat cooked, lol. going back to try the fried taco special on tuesdays and maybe the chile relleno burrito.

I am a fan if this place. I've been many times and have to say I have not been disappointed. The pastrami sandwich is delicious and the Pastrami burger is probably one of the best burgers I've ever tasted. The sauce they put on the burger is amazing. I always finish my meal off with the Bavarian filled churros. So yummy!

Wow, this place is awesome. I live just down the street from this place and couldn't help but laugh at the witty name "ok, so"... i read the reviews on yelp and was excited to see that it was doing well. I love hamburgers and for a while I went through a phase of trying to find the best hamburger on this here planet. I've tried the burgers at the back Abbey, eureka, fathers office, etc.... so far my favorite is a place in San Diego called the Burger Lounge. The name of this restaurant makes you think it is strictly a Mexican joint, but don't be fooled their hamburgers are awesome! I tried the "oh queso" burger and it was great. The patty was big, and you can tell it was fresh ground meat ( not ground beef). It also had a crunchy outside that gave it a great texture. The bread was crunchy on the inside but soft and sweet on the outside. It had a secret sauce that made it even juicier....all in all this burger was a pleasant surprise. It tastes like a burger you would get at a gastro pub, but for half the price. I can't wait to go back.

Just ate at Oh Queso I had the pastrami burger and it was very very good. Service was great and girl behind counter was very friendly, I think she changed the TV to a sports channel for me and I didn't even ask. Nice place I will be back

The food is good. It's like homecooking that taste super fresh. But the thing that brings me back frequently is the quality of their MEAT. Try their Carne Asada in anything; quesadilla, taco, burrito, whatever. You'll be ruined.

Came here last Friday night for a birthday. My family and I drove 1 1/2 hrs and we were hungry. My girlfriend had the Green Chili burger, I had the pastrami burger, and my 3 year old was happy and content with his basket of fries which he finished all by himself...WOW! I devoured my burger and my girl friend had about 2 more bites left which she couldn't finish because the portions were more than enough. I was happy to oblige and helped her out...AWESOME BURGERS! I later found out that the owner grinds his own meat there daily so it doesn't sit in the freezer for days, unlike other places. I guess you can say I'm a burger connoisseur having worked at a gourmet burger and wine establishment in Hollywood for a few years so yes I do know burgers. I've tried Umami, Father's office, and other high priced burger joints but none come close to Oh Queso! Many places charge $12 just for the burger alone without the fries but we paid less than that and had our 2 huge burgers and basket of fries. Will I drive an hour and a half to have another burger here? No...because I will not only have the burger but will definitely try the carne asada fries :) Gonna make the trip out there next week. See 'ya soon Oh Queso! and thanks for a great dining experience.

Tried this joint out with my wife and 18 year old daughter. The wife ordered some nachose with carne asada, i had a carne asada burrito and both were amazing. The quality of the meat is unreal, give it a shot. Oh ya, pretty cheap meal as well, nachos, burrito, two drinks and chips/salsa was about $14.

seen this place on yelp and decided to give it a try with the family. 4 out of 5 of us ordered burger combo's; comes with fries and a drink. 2 of us ordered green chili burger and they said it was amazing. i ordered a burger and it was really good. the bun wasnt your average "store bought" bun. It was soft and just tasted better. Burger patty is thick and the fries look greasy when you get them; but they are not greasy at all. They are seasoned well and lightly crispy. We received free chips and they have a salsa bar. Chips are slightly oily but for some reason really good. They are not store bought at all. All the salsas are good as well. They give you slightly small order of free chips and with family of 5 ask for more and they gave some without question; which was awesome. Failed to see on the menu you need to tell them if you want your burger cooked well done. They cook them medium if you do not tell them otherwise; but it was still good. Also burger was decently portioned on the size of the patty. Almost couldnt finish it. Would come back here and also would recommend to others.

Talk about a nice change from the ordinary...even though the carne asada tacos are the best I've ever had, you have to try the Pastrami Burger. Best thing on the menu by far and this small, unassuming place has some great hospitality and a loyal following from many of the locals as well as fire and law enforcement agencies. Owners Chris & Jona are AWESOME and I'm not saying this because they're personal friends of mine but because they really are running a great restaurant even being first time owners. Plan your small get together here and let them know in advance...you will keep coming back for more. The beer and wine offerings are also an added bonus so whether you're picking up something to take home...ordering lunch for your office or planning a large get together, PLEASE DO YOURSELF A FAVOR and taste some bitchen food that will leave you hungry for more and more! Thanks for reading...

I would never of thought to eat at this place if it wasn't for yelp. Believe it or not, I came across Oh Queso while looking for a tobacco shop. It was odd how it came up as one of my search results and I'm glad it did. I had their Queso burger and fries. I can sum the burger up in one word, delicious. I am very picky when it come to my burgers. My only issue was with the lettuce as I'm not a fan of shredded kind. The two most important factors to a good burger is the meat and the bun. Both were home runs. Look, what I am trying to say is go get one of their burgers now and you wont regret it. Oh, and their fries were also great.

I was in the area the other day and was looking on Yelp for somewhere to eat lunch. Came across this place and decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did... Service wasn't very friendly, pretty much straight to the point and wanted my order. I ended up ordering the Green Chili burger with grilled onion and jalapenos. Damn it was good, from the bun, to the fresh jalapenos, to the nice fat patty. Next time I'm in the area, I'll definitely be back to try their other burgers!

Not a lot of people present when I visited. Ordered the green chili cheeseburger and the carne asada fries to-go. The fries werent as good as the hype, but the cheeseburger rocked.

Well tonight we tried taco Tuesday so I cannot comment on the entire menu but the tacos were probably the worst I have ever tried. Soggy, falling apart and tasteless. Beans were so generic and poor as well. Oh Queso fool me once, shame on you..... fool me twice shame on me. There will not be a next time.

  • Samantha H.

Oh Queso is decent little Mexican spot, but I have definitely had better. The food is hit or miss for me. I don't particularly like the shrimp burrito, the cabbage lacks in flavor and the shrimp is pretty chewy. However, I do like the carne asada, and the nachos are pretty good. I also enjoy their horchata, and the regular size is only a dollar! I stop by more for an horchata than the food. All the staff are friendly and helpful, but the service is usually on the slow side, so don't come if you are in a hurry. Oh Queso is close to my work so I'll get food on my break sometimes, but otherwise I probably wouldn't come all that much.

  • Albert N.

The burger is not that great. The bun was large, but overall i felt like it had a very dry taste overall. If you are on the hunt for a gourmet burger , this is nowhere close to what you are looking for. I'd definitely eat at Eureka burger or Rounds before I ever come back here again. It was also really difficult to taste the beef patty and even the sauce they put on it. The place is really clean, and would be a good place to take a family. But the burgers are just not that great for the price they are asking.

    (2)
  • Jon L.

These guys need to take a short trip to San Diego to do some research on Carne Asada Fries. The beef was ok, but the pieces were too large. Other then that it wasn't that good. On the positive note the burgers were pretty good.

Living in Diamond Bar (Asia central), you don't get that many good Mexican food places around the area. Unfortunately, I was craving Carne Asada Fries like my life depended on it. Do I settle for Alberto's? Trusted 24 hour chain, but I thought I'd explore from the few other options I could find & I found Oh Queso. The small venue for Oh Queso takes up only a mere fraction of the rest of the huge plaza. I only remember there's an Albertsons or something in that plaza along with a gajillion other random businesses. Whatever. What I'm getting at is, that you will definitely find parking without a hassle & it's not busy. It's super convenient! & you get free, delicious chips :) THE FOOD: I ordered the Carne Asada Fries (of course). And let me tell you, it actually met my cravings. I was really worried about coming here because I wanted that "hole-in-the-wall", greasy Mexican food. I saw that the fries weren't skinny from Yelp pictures & the meat was chunks of steak-like pieces. I went feeling ready to be disappointed. The guacamole as delicious. The meat I took time to cut into pieces so I could have a distributed amount to last me for every bite. I was sad there wasn't that much fresh cut tomatoes/pico on it, but I realized.. It's not like Molca Salsa or Alberto's gives you fresh-tasting guacamole. Overall, it won't be that drive-thru, eat on the curb from a to-go box Carne Asada Fries, but the meat & guacamole quality is definitely better than what you're going to get at those other places. Plus, I was stuffed so I was happy. My friend has actually chosen this place because I wanted Carne Asada Fries, and she was craving a burger really bad. Where else can you get Carne Asada along with a hamburger, right? As soon as I saw the brioche hamburger bun, I approved. She really enjoyed it & it really filled her up. It looked clean & delicious. Perfectly cooked to her liking (Medium). SERVICE: The service was AMAZING! Unfortunately I don't recall the name of the worker who helped us at the register, but he was so nice. He made sure to ask questions about how we wanted our food when we ordered & asked if we needed suggestions. (I hate when I'm not asked questions like, if I want everything on my food or how I want something cooked. This is important!) He checked up on how our food was when we were sitting down eating. This isn't even a full-service sit down! There's a tip jar at the counter when you order in the beginning so don't forget to tip if you had a similarly awesome experience! BUDGET: $ ($7-9 per person) ATMOSPHERE: quick counter-service, family-friendly, clean TASTE: 5 of 5 FILLING: generous CONVENIENCE: Super quick & easy counter-service My final opinion? I hope to be back & try more of their food :) I usually don't like reviewing after only 1 or 2 visits, but I feel like they deserved a great review. Only con, I really wish they had more of a salsa variety (maybe some pico/cilantro?!?!) at their salsa bar. But give this place a try especially if you're craving Mexican in the Diamond Bar/Chino Hills area. It's really worth it for fresh, clean, & honest Mexican food :) No regrets!

Right when my buddy and I walked in, the owner greeted us and informed us of the current specials. It was Taco Tuesday, so they had $1.00 tacos. I got a chicken taco and a potato taco. The tacos were really good! Totally worth $1.00. The owner also told us to "check in" through facebook in order to get a 10% discount! So we did. I also got the Green Chile Burger, and added a fried egg to it. Holy Crap!! It was amazing!! The bun was nice and soft, the patty was thick and juicy, and the egg added to the already great flavor. And the burger was only $4.75 + $1.00 for the egg. This is a high quality Gastropub style burger for half the cost! It's totally worth it. Just make sure to "check in" with facebook while you're at the cash register and they'll give you 10% off. I love this place.

To be honest, I had very low expectations coming to this place. Nevertheless, it was hard to ignore all the great comments on Yelp Oh Queso has received, especially for their burgers. Seriously, how good could the burgers be at a fast food Mexican restaurant? Boy was I surprised! You could tell all of the ingredients are fresh. The meat was hefty-sized, juicy and tasty. The sauce compliments the ingredients. One word to describe the burger: harmonious. The fries were fresh and crunchy just the way they should be. We ordered a large order but a half order still would have been too much for 2 people. Everyone is offered chips and salsas. The salsas were also fresh and tasty. Most Mexican restaurants' offering of a mild sauce is nothing more than crushed tomatoes. Oh Quesos mild salsa offers a depth of flavor that makes it easy to eat more and more. The decor is modern and clean with 2 large screen TVs to enjoy a sporting telecast. The staff is friendly and attentive. I can't wait to try other items on the menu. The owners/chef obviously know how to deliver remarkable taste at an excellent value. I can't wait to go back. Next time I'm trying the carne asada fries!

Great food highly recommend. The chile verde burrito is amazing. This is the best place in Chino Hills for Mexican food . The tortilla chips are the best I have ever had. I will try the 10 oz rib eye steak burrito next.

Solid burger..solid fries. The only suggestion for the owner is that please do not use paper wrapper for left-over to go. The material just melt in contact with hot cheese, and create yucky mixture (for both my left over burger and fries). I ended up throw away all - which is a MAJOR sin according to my mom (and any Asian mom would agree..) lol.

I am so glad my friend told me about oh queso! Moving back home I really missed eating carne asada fries and this place definitely hits the spot! I love how crispy the fries are and how fresh all the toppings taste. The meat itself was super tender and in large chunks. Plus they offer chips and salsa!

Been here with the fam twice and very happy with the price and quality of food. My Mexican wife approved the semi-authentic food (a bit 'gringo' she says). Lots of variety and large portions for my sons with big appetites. Definitely in our rotation. i just don't know why this place never seems to be crowded...it's a good hit! UPDATE: I guess people are discovering how good this place is! On our last visit, the place was packed! I finally tried the Oh Queso burger....WOW, it was good! Service may be a little slow but price and quality make it worth waiting for.

Small restaurant w/ 2 plasma TVs for those who are sports fans. Salsa/condiments bar next to the drink station. The way they process their orders is through an iPad (i thought that was unique). Ordered the Menudo & the Carne Asada Burrito (yes, two - I couldn't make up my mind & menudo is only served on weekends). Menudo - in my opinion, it came in a medium-large serving size. There was a ton of tripe & I added onions and cilantro myself at the salsa bar. Come with your choice of flour or corn tortillas. I really liked it, but about halfway into my soup, I noticed a small hair on the side of my bowl & found another soon after that was on a piece of tripe. It definitely was not my hair as these were short and had some shape to 'em. (bleh) I still liked the menudo nonetheless... just wish I never had seen those hairs. :P Carne Asada Burrito - large in size, semi-crispy outer tortilla, they added in a lot of beans and a lot of steak. The steak was also in chunks & wasn't chewy (yay). Lettuce is also inside the burrito & I added salsa for more flavor. Chips N' Salsa - while you're waiting for your food, they offer you some chips. The chips are the thick kind. They have 3 types of salsa (mild verde, mild red, and hot). My favorite was the green. I was afraid to try the hot just because it looked like it would burn your mouth, but in reality it just has a smokier flavor w/ a kick at the end (not SUPER spicy). Service was quick and the girl at the front was friendly. They also have a selection of beer, anywhere from $2, $2.50, $5.50 depending on what type you're interested in.

Fantastic food, people are not exaggerating when they review this place. Reminds me of home with the great chips and salsa. The horchata is great and not gritty and starchy like most horchatas at other places. The pastrami here is fantastic and I recommend it in the california breakfast burritto. Word of warning, that spicy sauce is definitely spicy. Stay away from it unless you're really used to spicy food. Would come again, most def.

I'm pretty sure the burgers are good, but we didn't feel like having burgers, we wanted tacos, so that's what we went there for since they serve them. I tried the fish taco, wasn't bad, I liked the baja dressing it came with. The chicken is definitely better than the beef. And the tostada salad was good as well. Not really wow'd by the food, but it wasn't bad either.

Maybe I ordered all the wrong things, or maybe its cause I was sick... but all the food here was beyond bland. I really wanted to like this place since its an independently owned local eatery, but it is just another place catered to the simple taste buds but high-class life-style of the suburban bubble (should have known after seeing the iPad register)... no offense to fellow suburban dwellers. I had the Chile Verde Burger ($4.75) and their "special of the day" Chicken Tortilla Soup ($4.99). The cheese in my burger was nomilicious (term to be TM...jk), but the chiles, though spicy, were very flat; and the patty was extremely dry... I would rather just go to in-n-out for my burger fix. Next, the soup... it tasted like water with huge chunks of chicken, bits of avocado and sour cream, and strips of tortillas... meh. Maybe I should of had their tacos/burritos, but I will unlikely be back after that "food"... Redeeming qualities? Cheap food, 2 large flat screen TVs, and a good selection of beer and wine (Stella Rosa, Beringer, Blackstone, Modol, Stella Artois, etc.)... plus they've got cute community style table seating.

Got the Oh Queso burger, fries, and a fried ground beef taco. Burger was bland, not one granule of salt or pepper, texture of meat was mealy. Queso sauce was non-descript. Fries were soggy and tasted like somone re-cooked old fries. The fried taco was horrible. I don't know what kind of "ground beef" they use but it was sort of grayish and mushy. The "fried" taco shell was soggy.Took one bite and immediately spit it out as it had a strange after taste like the meat had gone bad... I hope I don't pay for that bite later. Stay away from this place.

An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate.
